waiting for COS allocation but visa expiring soon

hi

my tier 1 PSW visa expires on 2nd march 2012.

my hr has requested additional cos allocation and he also received an email on 16th feb thursday stating that the request is passed onto a caseworker.
we have not yet received any allocation yet. i thought cos allocation should be quick since it is already with a case worker.

please advise.
