Green card through the marriage with US citizen-citizenship?

Hello,

I have married US citizen and I have received conditional green card in September, 2004. Now, after a year and 9 months I have submit the I-751 form in the order to remove conditional status and get 10-year green card. My question is:

- how long it takes to get 10-year card? My application was received on July 28 and processing dates for Nebraska show April 11th as current processing date for applications.
- If I do not receive my 10-year Green Card in the next 8 months, am I going to be eligible to apply for citizenship after 2 years and 9 months of marriage - which is going to be in 8 months? Do I have to have Green Card with me in the order to apply for my citizenship?
