Good luck guys!
Congratulations! Just wondering if you are based in London or somewhere else? I live in Liverpool and it looks like it's taking longer than the applications from London. Thanks
Hi, thanks for the message. I live in Cambridge at the moment. Usually, it takes another working day or two for mails to reach those applicants that are living outside of London. Just have to be patient, as most of the UKBA mails are 2nd class mails which could take 1 week to get to you (except when they send your passport/BPR).

It depends on the officer handling your case and nationality to some certain extent as well. Some lucky chaps got their passport and visa within 5 weeks while some of my friends from China got it only after 5 months of processing time. Good luck bro.

Hey all!

I applied on 23 Jan, Royal Mail confirmed and still haven't gotten a Biometric Invitation Letter. Has anyone else who applied around this time gotten one? Or are they just being very slow? It's been 4 weeks.

Thank you!

I applied on the 17th of Jan, the money was taken from my account on the 19th of Jan. I haven't received the acknowledgement letter nor the biometrical letter. I have been calling but no one is answering those phones!

What happens if they are delivering your documents/BRP and you are not home?

Do they put them at the nearest post office with a notice card (the red one) or to they attempt re-delivery?

Hi all, I have just joined.

Application sent on 7th November 2011
Acknowledgment letter recieved 10th November 2011
Biometric letter received 25th November 2011
biometric done on 28th November 2011

As at 21st February 2012, I'm still waiting. It is quite disheartening especially after all the jobs I have had to turn down. My heart goes out to all of us still waiting.

I just received my BRP today which is a relief. Does anyone who has received their BRP know what it means on the BRP card when it says:

RESTRICTED WORK
NO DR/DENTIST TRAINING

I can't tell if those are two separate statements or one statement. I assume this means that I am allowed to undertake any sort of work EXCEPT for dr/dentist training, but I just want to be SURE since this whole process has been so unbelievably stressful! There are no other work restrictions, right?!

Here are the dates for my application:

Application sent : 4 jan
Acknowledgement letter received: 13 jan
Biometrics letter received: 3 feb
Biometrics Given: 4 feb
BRP : 22 feb
documents received: WAITING

It is taking a while, but the Home Office seems to be catching up with the backlog now so it shouldn't be too long for everyone still waiting. Good luck to all!

Application sent: 17 Jan 2012
Application received: 19 Jan 2012
Acknowledgement letter received: Never received
Biometrics email received: 22 Jan 2012

When you get the email you have to wait 24 to book for biometrical.

The funny thing was that I called yesterday and they told me I wasn't on the data base. Finally today I received the email to book the biometrical appointment.
