will HSMP contact the current employer ?

Post by oli_ro » Mon Oct 30, 2006 11:16 pm

I am considerring applying for the HSMP programme. I will provide a letter from my current employer, but I will not like to be in the position where they contact the HR as it will damage my current position.

This is a big multinational in a western country.

What are people's experience with regards to this ?

Thanks.

They can contact but it's not important that they tell the reason.

Is it HR they contact or the manager named in the reference letter?

As far as I know they wont contact current employer. They may contact only past employer.

Only if they have very serious doubt they may contact current employer

But if you are getting your result within 4-6 weeks that means no verification. about 50% of applicants getting back in 4-6 weeks

If it stays beyond that period then we can understand that it is going for verification, that time we need to alert our employers

Any EU Nationals or US Nationals there will be no verification for 99%

Asian Nationals- High probability for verification, particularly for outofcountry applicants

InCountry Students also having high probability for verification

Those who are claiming graduate level experience without proper Graduate level Qualification also have high probability to get verified

Hi,

I work for an MNC. Just wanted to know -- When the HSMP guys contact my employer..will they state the reason, and will they contact the manager who has provided the letter or will they contact the company HR.

Also the manger who has provided the letter in my past company has also moved......does this make a difference?

Regards

Arun
