Tier 1 General Migrant Extension Query

Post by saurabhlahoty » Sat Feb 25, 2012 11:52 am

Hi,

I have got a job offer in UK and i ll be joining by 1st April 2012.
But my Tier 1 General Migrant visa will be getting expired by Sep 2012. As for extension 80 points are required, i tried to calculate my points and it is coming 70 because uplift ratio is not applied to my Indian and Singapore Salaries.

Could anyone please help in clarifying my query that why uplift ratio is not applied and also suggest whether i can take this offer or it would be risk.

Thanks!!

Regards,
Saurabh Lahoty

Uplift ratios are no longer applicable to Tier 1 (G) applications because the scheme is closed to new applicants and only extensions are permitted. It's okay to use overseas income for an extension but it can't be multiplied by an uplift ratio in the same manner that an original application might have been.

Hi Saurabh ,
Are you planning to claim points for previous earning from overseas income when you are assessing your extension?

Can you please share the details from UKBA website for claiming points for previous earning from overseas income

Many thanks
