Tier 1 (General) Extension & Biometric Invitation letter

I applied by post for TIER 1 (general) extension.
Receiving Biometric invitation letter means my extension application is successful? or UKBA officer will start case evaluation after receiving biometric prints..?

biometric letter doesnt mean application is successful but just that application is valid & will be considered along with all the evidences provided

Hi,
I have applied for Tier 1 General Extension on 25th January, but haven't heard anything from UKBA. Its been 4 weeks now and I am still waiting for my biometrics.

Can anyone tell me what could be the reason?
Can I contact UKBA to know my status as I need to travel next month?

Dude, it takes min 4 weeks after biometric so rest easy
