Limit on Tier 2 General CoS

Post by vijay87 » Sun Feb 26, 2012 4:34 pm

Hi,
I am currently on PSW and planning to apply for Tier 2 General. My current visa expires in October 2012. I have been working for my current employer since 14 months. Can anyone suggest me if the limit of 20,700 on Certificates of Sponsorship every year apply for me? My employer doesn't have a Tier 2 Licence yet. Do I need a Restricted CoS or Unrestricted CoS?

Thanks.

the limit on COS applies to only out of country application which is a restricted COS.
As your company doesnt have a sponsorship license, first work on that and get that asap. this process may take upto 2 months if all documents are in place.
In the mean make sure you are being paid salary as per codes of practice. if not work on that aswell. Ask your HR to prepare responsibilities and match that with an SOC code set by UKBA.
Once you get the license you will get CoS along with that which can be issued to you instantly with SOC youve got and your salary and other personal details.
You the COS number in you visa application.

All the best :D
