Place of Birth on Biometric Card?

Post by 23367 » Mon Feb 27, 2012 9:16 am

Hi All,
I have not seen a bio metric card. i am yet to receive my bio metric card. just wanted to know, whether the bio metric card will have place of birth written on it. my place of birth is wrong in my passport which i will change this month.

if place of birth is changed in passport should we need to inform homeoffice and get it changed in BRP card( if it has the place of birth)??

Yes there is a PLACE OF BIRTH entry on the Biometric.

Not sure what the procedure is if you change that on your passport.

Yes, place of birth is mentioned on BRP. whatever is on the passport for place of birth will be on BRP at the time of extension. if its incorrect on previous passport then better mention that on the covering letter of extension app that you got it corrected in the new passport

I have got the BRP today with place of birth . Now i need to change my passport and BRP for the correct place of birth. I am not sure whether homeoffice accepts the request to change the place of birth after issuing it with the place of birth given by me. I know it is a mistake from my side. has any one requested for change of place of birth after getting the new BIOmetrics card? if yes, can you please tell the procedure and time lines taken?
