Few Questions regarding HSMP

Post by aix_tiger » Wed Nov 01, 2006 7:09 am

Dear All

I have prepared my HSMP file but have few questions in my mind before i go for submission HSMP case!

1. I have my 66 years old father as my dependent member of my family...I can not leave him back in india as there is no one to look after him.Whether UK immigration laws allow me to sponsor him for permenant residence ( or visit visa - what is the duration) once i got job in UK under HSMP program and got settled there?

2. I am currently resident and working in UAE, whether HSMP team will contact my current employer for any verification in that case?

3.Whether i have to go back to India ( homeland) for EC stamping ?

Thanks in advance!!!

1. You can't have your father as depdendent. it is ur wife, civil partner and kid.
2. Once your in UK, your father can apply for Visit visa in his home country, but you have to send documents that are needed for visit visa, as per duration it depends on local british emb.
3. As per verification it depents on case by case.
4. On HSMP Approval, you can apply for EC in Dubai.

Hi

Thanks for your responses!!

Two quick things... Does UK immigration laws allow parents to be sponsored after i got settle down...especially in circumtances where there is no one back in country to look after him and also he is totally dependent ( financially as well as socially).

I understand that my this question may be irrelavant to HSMP related matters but in my case , it will play a major role of making my final decision to go for HSMP or not ? So i am asking here it again!!

Second, if they contact current employers too, how risk it is .. i mean if they contact and even then refuse for any other reason ... it may spoil employee situation in company..... Have any one such experience ???

Regards
