Atleast they should start online tracking system, where we can see the progress of our case e.g..to be started, in-process, decision pending or documents required.
I agree 3 months are enough time to decide any case if taking more then 3 months then process improvement is required.

Good luck to all!!! :)
I very much doubt the UKBA will want any tracking system. I suspect it would show just how many applications are collecting dust for week after week!

If a tracking system was to be imposed upon them then that would be a good thing but for the time being it is in their interest to bully more and more to take the 5-20 minute interview option in person and pay the extra.

From all these previous posts...what I understand.

Currently UKBA processing September, 2011 received – SET(O) applications.

I applied my ILR - Set (O) in November 2011.

According to the current processing timings, my documents should be released some where around April, 2012 - until then I have to wait.

Just preparing myself around these time lines...!

Everything got struck around this one thing...so many things are pending...what a sin.....+ve/-ve I should have applied for same day and face consequences....this waiting is very frustrating...but as it says PATIENCY ALWAYS PAYS.. keep calm and just be patient... :)

All the very best and hope for good luck...!

just wondering what if something changed while waiting for ILR decision. its a long time to wait. your employer can suddenly go bust or decide they don't need you any more. what an unfortunate situation would that be? obviously HSMP holders doesn't need to worry about that. but work permit and tier 2 holders.

Have you tried to phone HO? You can call them anytime from today as your application was 6 months old yesterday. I'll advise that you call them and see what they says... Goodluck mate.

Congrats mate. This is my annoyance with their "6 months no enquiry policy" You are left in the dark just assuming your documents get lost in the post or as in your case, sent to a wrong address. Can you imagine the anxiety you've gone through since November when you should have received your passport back. Anyway congratulations & enjoy life without restrictions.

god.. i m over the moon. missed my Christmas holiday to Boston.

anyways .. i m happy.

thanks for the best wishes...

they must create a website atleast showing the progress on application.

if it has been posted to wrong address then it could be rectified without taking 6more months

Following the forum carefully, I've noticed that some of the MPs asked by the applicants at least are happy to write the letter the HO enquiring about the case but some are refusing to do so and tell you to wait patiently 6 months as advised by HO. Is that so?

Just couldn't help wondering if this depends on the fact if the MPs in question are Conservatives or from Labour party? The later would probably be less reluctant to contact HO being from the opposition

Maybe irrelevant, but just a thought....

I had a similar experience with MP letter but the UKBA did actually follow up with my new employer to make sure things associated with hiring me had indeed progressed. So the MP letter really does help in that respect. It was worded very strongly and I am very grateful that he (Simon Hughes of the South East London) took the time to write it for me. What a man.

I am still waiting for my documents though, this is officially the 20th week!

GRrrrr!
