My extension is due in December 2012.

I have initially 2 years Visa.

Is it necessary to submitt P60 to show that the tax has been paid or the pay slips are enough as they have the requied information.

And Aslo

Do we have to submitt P60 to show tax from the period that was initialy claimed when visa was granted.

For employment income , you can show payslip and bank statement.

You need to show two piece of evidence to show your earnings so (payslips or p60 )and bank statement are fine.

If you want to carry p60 that would an additional supporting documents so if like to can use that.

So it is upto me to use P60 or not with the payslips and is not a requirement to submitt P60 if submitting payslips.
