inso,
If you don't mind, can you reveal why you posted as urgent treatment form? I am just curious as to what reasons you can post for and what they will approve?

Do you have a link to information about urgent treatment forms and what they will accept as reasons.
Urgent treatment requested: 23 Oct
Letter & documents sent out: 26 Oct
Notification of above: 30 Oct
Called in for result, informed it was a "miscommunication": 30 Oct
Received email that decision has been made: 31 Oct
Called in for result: 31 Oct

Job offer; the offer letter and contract was included in the application we sent through, along with a UT doc -- we also faxed one through as soon as we got the ref no, but they informed us it was already receiving UT.

The UT doc itself has a list of 4 things (IIRC) that is acceptable -- download it from workingintheuk.gov.uk directly. I'd imagine they will evaluate any request for UT, but unless you fall in one of those categories with some substantiating evidence, I doubt that they'll bump your application higher up the queue... Also, I seem to recall that the guidance notes contain a few notes on UT...

Dear all,

Thanks a lot for all your wishes. My case was a simple one and I kept sharing everything from the day I sent the application. Let me put all the details again:

1) Application dispatched 26th Sept
2) Points claimed 70 (Age 5 + Degree 15 + Past Earnings 25 + Experience 25)
3) Application Received by HO 28th Sept
4) Email receipt 29th Sept
5) Decision made and dispatched on 18th Oct
6) Received documents and decision letter on 31st Oct

Now I'm concerned about EC. If any of you have applied for EC recently, please let me know about the details.
Regards,

ALL OCTOBER applicants POST here

Post by shazlee » Wed Nov 01, 2006 3:14 pm

I have following status

Docs sent: 29/Sep/06
Email got with Ref No.: 11/Oct/2006
Email got : 1/Nov/2006 " Your HSMP application has been processed, and your decision letter and documents have been dispatched by airmail on 26th October 2006."
I called twice, with request to give me the decision by phone But HO people said I have wait for airmail. Which might take 12weeks (max).

Can some guide if they refuse to disclose the decision by phone or by email, that means the decision is negative?

AFAIK, they never disclose your result by email; however, we've had no problems enquiring by telephone.

Hi All,

It looks like the decision has been made in about 1 month (6 weeks latest) when they don't need to check the information. Does anybody know what criteria the HSMP Team uses to decide whether they will confirm the evidences or not? I've seem some out of the UK applications that references were not checked, so I don't think the criteria is IN \ OUT country application, is it any random criteria or does it have to do with the quality of the evidence provided?

Thanks!

Regards,

Vinicius

Checking of documents!!

Post by bishnujee » Wed Nov 01, 2006 11:32 pm

They check only documents when they have some doubt or knowledge about the applicants Industry. If you have sufficient Professional Membership of UK and your applicant country. Then you are considered to be applicant with genuine credentials.Seems some of the Referres might have left the concern or retired, its not always possible to check all references.HSMP Team takes each case on individual basis.

Yes, You are right, but in my both telephone calls they refused to disclose.
One importent thing is that they got my paper on 12/Oct and they dispatch the result on 26/Oct. Are they process this fast now?
Is ther any other way to get the decision, like by fax or by any other telephone number?

I realise that. Did you request Urgent Treatment at all? You could try faxing them, although I'd be skeptical of ever receiving a reply; their email replies have been very slow, to say the least. You did use the 0114 207 6020 number, right?

I did not sent any urgent request. Although my case was simple.

Engineering degree
10 years and 3 month experiance in IT as unified communication and messaging.
Salary code B since I am in Saudi Arabia for 5years and salary is above than required.

0114 207 6020 is like for ever busy (I tried in non working hours).

Although I cannot comment on the outcome (my gut feeling says don't worry about their response; you'll have to wait for the docs in any case regardless of the decision), I have to agree on that number. I used skype and just hit dial continually for 15-20 times in a row before finally getting through...
