Course taught in English for ext only?-Urgent

Post by ramesh1 » Wed Feb 29, 2012 7:40 am

During my initial application I have submitted IELTS score to prove my english and during my ext can I use my Bachelors degree taught in english to prove my english eligibility?

Also is it mandatory to provide evidence to during ext or shall I select already proved during initial application and does not require to produce any evidence during ext?

I have seen many people on this forum who chose english evidence as "already provided evidence during initial application" option and got extension.

I am planning to do same.

131. An applicant meets the English
language requirement, without the need to
provide evidence
, if he/she was last given
permission to stay in the United Kingdom:

• under Tier 1 (General) and is applying for
an extension of leave to remain; or

• as a Highly Skilled Migrant Programme
participant under the Immigration Rules
which came into force on 5 December
2006 and is applying for an extension of
leave to remain under a Tier 1 category.

Source: UKBA Tier 1 Policy Guidance

Based on this, you will be ok to tick the box which says: Applicant is currently in the United Kingdom as a Tier 1 (General) migrant, or as a Highly Skilled Migrant Programme participant and has previously satisfied the English Language requirement on the application form. Hope this helps.
