Hi,
I am going to apply for my tier 1 extension on 2nd Feb. Just need a bit of advice -should i pay my fee through debit card or bankers draft (I have herd rumours of some time machine not working at HO when paying through debit card) ?

Hi,
No one can tell you for sure what to do as there are multiple ways of payment.
I have never had any trouble paying by debit card, but once again it all depends on what you think is best as there is no right or wrong answer to this question.
In addition, act based on facts and not rumours as not all rumours may be correct.
Kind Regards

You can very well pay by debit card but you might have to inform your bank before hand that there will be huge debit from you account on this day so that the payment goes smooth.
All the best.

Hello there,
I will be applying for Tier 1 extension (myself + 2 dependants) in April 2012. Should I need to inform the bank by phone or letter? Anybody have any format of this letter to bank.
Thanks in advance.

Just call up your bank and tell them you will do a high value transaction(with approx amount of your fees), and it should be alright.

I just paid by debit card today, problem free.
I am banking with NatWest so the cashier called them while I was there & they just asked me a couple of security questions - Date of birth & password (for when I opened the account). It all went very smoothly.
Hope that helps!

hello ducky is natwest debit card Visa Debit card? I have appointment in glasgow tomorrow and in the form it says only Delta / Maestro Debit cards are accespted? Glasgow accepts only Debit or Credit card payments. Pls advise any one if they have paid using HSBC or natwest VISA debit card in any of the PEO office pls urgently.

If an ammount greater or equal to have come through your account in single transaction in the past, you dont neccessarily have to inform the bank things should go smoothly
They are keen on collecting the fees so there cant be problems from their side.. The timelines shows they take the fumds on average 1-2 working days! The fastest ever !But to have biometrics done takes ages to get appointment!
The purpose of this world is God

Is this premium application or postal ?
Safest payment option for postals are banker's draft.

perfect it seems then my HSBC VISA DEBIT CARD will be accepted. But when I call the UKBA customer care number they say as mentioned in the appl.form only Delta or Maestro or Solo debit card will be accepted not the VISA Debit Card. That confused me as i have appointment tomorrow at Glasgow and they accept payment only by Debit or Credit card it seems.
