Re: Thanks for great effort

Post by ruthmac » Thu Mar 01, 2012 1:56 pm

My wife posted her application on 19th October 2011 and received acknowledgment 0n 21st October. This is for SET(M) and should be the most straightforward to process. I suspect ten minutes would do it! If someone would like to add her to the list I would appreciate it!

Her status and all the documentation is clear cut and there is no real room for a rejection.

We are still waiting!!
Bob, my husband got his yesterday and he posted his application just a couple of days after your wife, so I really hope you get yours soon.

upset

Post by amsidk » Thu Mar 01, 2012 2:55 pm

my husband applied for ILR on 11th oct 2011 n we r still waiting. I hv to fly back home to attend my brother's wedding due in mid of march. we send expidete letter n contact MP. MP was kind enough to enquire abt progress n he said tht my husband passport is with decision maker while me n duaghter passport r not in system which is weird becuz we send only one application in which hubby was main applicant n me n duaghter r dependents. Is it possible they lost our passport n even if they lost it then they should contact us till now becuz its 20 weeks now ... im so upset with all this crap in my life ... wish i could kill the person holding my passport for last 20 weeks :(

Hi all!
First of all thanks chrisrich for adding me to the list.
Me and my hubby would like to attend a family wedding at the
end of march in pakistan, 2 couples we know applied just before
us and both got there ilr last week so i decided to see my mp to check
if theres any news, he phoned glasgow border agency as its impossible
to get through to liverpool he says, we were shocked to hear that my case
just got started getting looked at by a caseworker on 29th feb. my mp says hes going to wait until the 12th march then get back intouch with them again. My case is one of the most straight forward cases

You are welcome ShahG, i hope you get your ILR soon. I think there's no consistency (datewise) in the way how applications are dealt with, it depends on the efficiency of the caseworkers, some are fast & others very slow. Some people who applied in January have got their documents back, others are waiting a long time but all will be well.

Set ILR(M) Success

Post by pymapp » Sat Mar 03, 2012 1:24 pm

My wife received her passport back this morning with the precious ILR inside it!

Timeline:
Application made via Worcester Settlement Checking Service on December 6th.
Acknowledgement letter received on December 8th.
Application fee taken on December 9th.
Passport stamped on February 22nd.
Passport received on March 3rd.

Waiting time 12 weeks and 4 days.

It was a straightforward ILR(M) application with no dependants.

Thank you to the owners of this forum, to the people who have kindly maintained the log of waiting times in this topic and to everyone who has posted updates about their applications.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting, I hope you all hear good news soon.

Huge relief! (But letter of complaint to UKBA still being sent!)

I received my passport today. My timeline for ILR Set (M) is 12 weeks;

App sent 08/12/2011
Ack letter recd 13/12/2011
ILR recd 03/03/2012 dated the 19/02/2012

I request UKBA to return my wife passport on 20/02/2012 but they sent my ILR by Ist Class Recorded Delivery on 29-02-2012 and received on 03/03/2012.

They did not return my Life in the UK test Pass notification? What should i do?
