Hi all

My wife submitted her application at mirpur gerrys on 26-01-2012.
Application forwarded to islamabad oc on 26-01-12
Visa application under process at the british high commission 08-02-12
Your visa application has been forwarded to the embassy for processing 04-03-12.

Why has the application been sent to embassy i thought next status was ready for collection. Is the embassy in abu dhabi?

Good luck to all

:D

AoA sis,

Dont worry it will all be fine and well.

Remember you are a genuine applicant with nothing to hide so be confident.

Also the UKBA are really looking for two things, sham/fake marriages being passed off as genuine ones AND also people relying on the welfare benefit system. Apart from that the only other reason you would be refused a visa is if you missed out a requirement within your application.

inshAllah you are none of the above so relax and answer all their questions.

Not knowing your personal situation but I reckon your application may be somewhat diffferent or more complicated based on sponsor and applicants background. I would guess that your application is perfect, otherwise you would have been refused, they just want clarification from you.

I have heard from people who had interviews in the past, that if you answer their questions satisfactorily they provide you with the stamped visa the same day!

Just be yourself and answer their questions confidently.

inshAllah you will be fine.

Hi everyone

I have been searching and stressing for an unlimited amount of days now for the past 2-3 weeks with regards to this matter. My wife received 3.5 in her listening though she received 5.0 in her speaking. I have searched forums and forums and read over a hundred posts and received different responses with some having their visa accepted and some not. I would be really really grateful if someone could please email me links that confirm 3.5 exceed the level a1 requirement. I would also hugely appreciate if anyone could send me a copy of an email or document where it has been confirmed that the achieved score meets or exceeds the level a1 requirement or a determination where initially the case was refused but after appeal was accepted as the score does exceed the required specifications.

I have emailed the british council but they said they can only confirm the results as a whole and they dont look at scores individually. From all the posts and links it is to my knowledge that 3.5 is way over the requirements of level a1 which works out as 1.5. If i can point out via a determination and references that the score achieved exceeds the level a1 requirement, hopefully i have a chance.

I have even booked another test now, the level a1 english test by nts.org.pk incase the scores are not accepted. The problem is we are submitting the paperwork in pakistan next week and the results dont come till the 6th april. That is why i want to send as much evidence as possible confirming 3.5 exceed level a1 and 4.0 is only needed for level b1.

I will be really grateful and will really appreciate your help with this matter. i am really stressed and have been racking my brains sitting on the computer for hours and hours for the last few weeks. Many thanks and many duas.

P.S: I intend to send the documents (which I will post later) including the current IELTS score in the next week. Once the results from the level a1 english test come through (after 6th April) I will then send the results seperately. Will this be alright or may I face any issues in doing so ?

IELTS Score

Post by Rehan Arain » Mon Mar 05, 2012 8:31 pm

@ A4M 2012

If you check UKBA list of English Tests accepted.......they clearly say IELTS Academic or General in each section minimum 4 band is required.

Why you rushing to submit your application ?

many thanks for your reply, so I take it you would advise that I send both NADRA Marriage Certificate and the urdu Nkah Nama with english translation (with translators details on the back) stamped by the Union Council.AND get the urdu Nkah Nama and english translation attested by the FCO in Lahore.

I thought that just the NADRA Marriage Certificate with the Union Council stamp would be enough for the ECO to grant visa.
The Marriage Certificate is an offical document in its own right. It is a recent requirement which was brought in, you already have this. To be on the safe side get both Nikkah Namas attested by the FCO. It takes a few hours of waiting around but is inexpensive.

Submit ALL documents as part of the application. inshAllah this will be enough to satisfy the ECO.
Can i just ask the process of the nikah nama requirement as i am quite confused.

1. Should the imam who done the nikah give you an english copy of nikah nama?
2. if he didnt then who is allowed to translate the nikah nama?
3. once its translated then do you have to go back to the union council to get the translated nikah nama stamped?
4. what is FCO ?

Thanks

Guys I know I am thinking way ahead of myself and time.. but I was wondering how does ILR work?

What kind of documents should I start preparing or will be needed at the time of ILR for my hubby.

When is one eligible to apply for ILR?

1. Does my hubby need to start work, additionally pay Tax to prove he has been working?
2. Do we need to have a joint bank account in both our names?

What else is needed?

Thank you

Do National Insurance cards still exist?

Apparantly they don't send NI cards out anymore but just send a letter with the NI number on.. is that a new system? :?

AOA Sakman,

I will try and help with whatever knowledge I have, since I have not sent my application yet, I hope I am right. AND As you have probably noticed this Topic has been hijacked by people who have sent their applications in and are awaiting responses, asking for / giving duas to each other and they are not interested in answering queries like yours. Allah sees all, especially selfish deeds.

After the wedding Registrar will issue the families an urdu Nikah Nama and in some areas has an English version as well, if he was requested to bring one along.
Bride and groom are issued one each, take one and get it translated in English, ensuring the Translators details are marked on the back of the translation. Then take the urdu Nikah Nama with English translation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lahore to be attested by them. Details can be found on their website.

If you go to the Union Council for your area, where your urdu Nikah Nama was registered you will be able to obtain a NADRA Marriage Certificate, get this stamped by the Union Council secretary with the round stamp showing the Union Council ward no. I have not mentioned any fees as you know this all depends on how greedy an corrupt officials are in your area in Pakistan.

I believe with both NADRA Marriage Certificate and urdu Nikah Nama with translation attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ECO should accept this as evidence of the marriage.

I hope this helps you, and if these selfish people can break away from their conversations and read posts and see if they can help out someone, regarding something they themselves went thru, they can correct if there are any errors in my advice.

Allah hafiz Sakman
