I called DX secure delivery on 08443713331. they might ask for tracking number but if you dont have one ( which obviously will be the case) can give them post code..

Congrats Sir.

Quick question - were you eligible for ILR or for Tier 1 general extension?

Why did you not send by post as you visa was expiring later.?

Any reason for that?

I am in the same situation so need some advise on this?

Thanks

Congratulations on your extension! I have a question regarding the earliest you can apply. Is there a mandate that you need to apply only 3 months before? Thanks.

@vishal
I was applying for tier 1 extension.. will be eligible in july 2015.. ( long way to go)...

Personally i dont prefer postal because it can take long time( dont ask me how long) I have seen cases that took 6 months and some took 6 weeks.. so you will be tensed till you get the outcome..

Also you need to get BRP letter and then go to office for BRP on another day... and you wont have your passport until they decide your application.. the reasons can go on...

I feel for extra 300 if I can get everything done on the same day.. would be much better...

@dumdeedum
You can apply as early as you can but guide says visa start date will be from the application date.. so in my case visa could have been Feb-2012 to Feb-2015.

If this was the case then I had to apply for another extension before applying for ILR..( I think this purely depends on case worker)...

Question about BRP delivery

Post by jinfenggoh » Thu Mar 08, 2012 11:18 am

Hi BondBoy,

Just wondered about the 4 days delivery. Would you be able to clarify on which exact date did you receive the BRP? I have got my visa appointment on the 11th of April and there is a meeting that I have to attend out of the UK on the 18th. What with it being Easter holiday and a weekend in between, just wondering whether I need to move my meeting (highly likely...)

In any case, will not be booking anything until it gets resolved I guess. Thanks for your help in sharing your experience!

Best regards,
Jin

Case worker told me I should receive with in ten working days. My PEO appointment was on Friday and I received BRP on wednesday of the following Week. ( 22/02/12)

But again it depends on which time of the year as well. I heard few delays during christmas from my friends.

I think you can specify the date of delivery to DX as well ( I mean once you know that your BRP is with them pending to be delivered). If meeting is important then I would suggest keep calling them probably daily and confirm there is nothing to be delivered to you. Hope this helps.

Cheers

Hi Bondboy,

Yeah, that's what I want to hear (that the 4 days included the day of your appointment...) still does not give me the confidence to book my meeting.

Yeap, your reply helped. I might try to move the meeting to 20th and keep my fingers crossed. :roll:

Agree with you that the £300 is worth it, but frustrating to know that it does not include ability to travel again the next day. ;p

Thanks a lot!
Jin

@ jinfenggoh

Good luck mate.. Just an alert since you mentioned 11-April, new revised fee structure will apply to you.. ( I am sure you must have already considered this) if not just a heads up so that you dont carry bankers draft for the old amount..

Cheers

Visa Time

Post by chauhanm » Fri Mar 09, 2012 12:46 pm

with in 30 minutes he called and said he is granting visa for me till july 2015 and asked me to sign on visa approval letter. my visa was from Feb-2012 to July-2015 .. I was so happy after frustrating day but didnt show my expression. I noticed there was a mistake on my last name and mentioned that to him. So trashed that approval paper and printed a new one and asked me to sign on it.

As you said you applied 3 months earlier than your actuall visa expires which is July 2012.

Have you got visa from Feb-12 to Feb-15 or Jul-15?

Just confused...
Thanks

Visa date is Feb-2012 to July-2015.

Just to add per guidance they can grant visa 3 years from the date of application but there were some instances where they grant visa 3 years from the date of expiry ( which was my case). This completly depends on case worker and your luck..

Hello - I have had my PEO appointment last Friday (13th April) and I am trying to figure out when will I receive my BRP.

I called up DX secure and gave my postcode for delivery. They do not have anything under my name yet. I know that this is just day 3 since my appointment but there are several people on this forum who have received there BRP within two days of their application and hence the wait is making me nervous.

Does anyone have any advice on the matter?

Be patient mate ( I know its tough).. wait until 10 business days. The reason for this delay may be because of the recent IT problems at UKBA which would have caused back log of application..

@sreemtech

I would suggest first go through the guidance on UKBA website ( link below)

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... idance.pdf

I think form is available here :
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... l-form.pdf

Do some random search with keywords for your unanswered questions. This forum should have answers to most of your question.

If you are still left with a clarification, then you can post it here.

You have to do some homework mate.
