Need help in Tier-1 General Application Form

Post by anjalimaj » Thu Mar 08, 2012 9:53 am

Hello,

Can anyone please help me with the below:

a. Section B11: Home Office Reference number: which one is this (the one in the letter we received stating we have been granted Tier-1 General visa with "Our Ref" on top of the letter from UKBA (or) the number that was printed in the passport - Visa stamp page that begins with UK####).

b. Work Permit Worker Reference Number: Since my first entry was with Work Permit, I have given the number here.

c. PBS Migrant Reference Number: which one is this (the one in the letter we received stating we have been granted Tier-1 General visa with "Our Ref" on top of the letter from UKBA (or) the number that was printed in the passport - Visa stamp page that begins with UK####).

d. Section D1: Did the applicant obtain entry clearance or a visa before entering the United Kingdom?:: I entered UK with Work Permit issued in India, but after 1 year I switched to Tier-1 General. So, For this Question, my answer is No. Please confirm.

e. My Qualification is B.E. and I have been awarded First Class with Distinction. So, I wrote the "Grade" as First Class Distinction. Is this correct.

Your responses are much appreciated.

Thanks,
Anjali

Please read through other posts before posting same questions.

a) It is the home office reference number given on the communication letter. If you still have a doubt, leave it blank as this is not a mandatory field.

b) correct

c) can be left blank as this is not a mandatory field

d) 'Yes' because you did get work permit before coming to UK

e) UK follows a different standard and assuming you are an Indian, India follows a different standard. You can mention whatever is mentioned on your degree / final mark card.

Hi Sam,

Thanks for replying.

For d) 'Yes' because you did get work permit before coming to UK ::

I came to UK with Work Permit processed in India, but when I was in UK, I got my Tier-1 visa after 1 year. Still do you think I have answer "Yes" for this Q?

Kind Regards,
Anjali

Yes .... because you come from a Non EU country.

If this answer is 'No', then it means you came to UK illegally.

For D)
The answer should still be 'Yes' as you did get a VISA before entering the UK and give the details of the 'Work Permit' in D2, D3 & D4.
The answer would be 'No' in case of a child born in UK or if someone entered UK without a valid VISA.

Hope this helps.
