Payment against Leave - Can I count in earnings?

Hi,

When I was leaving my previous employer I had some leaves in my account. Since I was leaving so my employer encashed these leaves and made me payment for the same. The payment is reflected in my salary slip. My employer has also deducted Income tax and NI from this payment?

Can I count this payment in my total earnings?

I am submitting my salary slips from Jan 2011 to Oct 2011 for my previous earnings from the same employer by which I am getting 20 points.

Out of these months I have not received salary in Sep 2011 as I was on sabatical (unpaid leave). So I am not submitting salary slips for Sep 2011 and not claiming any points for this month. So there is a gap of one month in my earnings claim period.

Is this OK if I am missing Sep 2011 salary slips?
I am NOT submitting any letter from my employer for this gap in my earnings.
Am I doing it right?

You can have any continue 12 months , if you wish not to include September that is OK. But you must reach the magic number .

gaps in income are fine as long as you get the points required. no letter is necessary from the employer either

mention on the covering letter in a table for what months you are claiming earnings

My employer has issued a letter to me detailing all my earnings for each of the month except Sep as I did not receive any salary during Sep which I think should be fine. Along with this letter I am submitting my salary slips and bank statements as well.


I am submitting my salary slips From Jan 2011 to Oct 2011 on 12th March 12(My D-day for extension). Is that within 15 calendar months rules?

May be too late to respond. But this should be fine as your 15th month would end on 31/3/12 (assuming Jan 11 was 1/1/11)
