Needed help to prepare a covering letter

Needed help to prepare a covering letter

Hi, I am planning to submit last 12 months bank statements for both Previous earnings and fund maintenance for Tier 1 Extension. I have 2 queries to prepare the covering letter:

1. I am getting bonus based on the work along with the salary, so salary amount is varies from month to month. Salary and bonus clearly mentioned in the Pay slip. Is it better to mention about the bonus in covering letter or just leave it?

2. As I am providing the same statements for both Previous earnings and fund maintenance, should I need to specify the actual period (say from 01-12-2011 to 29-02-2012) about the maintenance in covering letter or just mention last consecutive 90 days? FYI, I am maintaining the minimum balance for the last 5 months.

1 leave it, no need to mention the bonus on covering letter

2 mention on the covering that you are maintaining the minimum balance in the same bank account with dates or better still, get a letter from your bank that the minimum balance for your account has been above £800 for the last 3 months

I am thinking to submit the bank statements from 01-Feb-2011 to
23-Feb-2012 (as I have received the recent bank statement till 23-Feb-2012) without a letter from bank. In case if I ask the bank to give the letter for maintenance, I think bank will give the letter with the current date. As I dont have the bank statement from 23-Feb-2012 to till date, should I need to ask the bank statements as well?

I am planning to submit the application via post ASAP due to fee increase from April.

Can anyone response, is it fine to provide the bank statements from 24-Nov-2011 to 23-Feb-2012 for proving the maintenance if I submit the Tier1 extension application on 15th March? As per the guidance I should be fine because it says the bank statements should not be older than one calendar month from the application date. However I would like to know your view on this.

You are fine with the dates you have as it is within the one month period stated in the guidance.
