Tier1 Dependant delays in visa

Hi,

I have applied Tier1 dependant out of country visa for my wife on 1st March 2012 at VFS Bangalore but still status is shown as "visa forwarded BHC".

Please let us know what is normal timelines going on in march 2012?
I checked Feb 2012 timelines 90% of visa has been sanctioned in approx 5 days from VFS Bangalore.

Can someone please comment is it due to festival or any other reason.

You'd be lucky if you get it in 1 week. Normal timing: 1-6 weeks.

Indeed. Its 6 weeks come next tuesday and we are astill waiting. Further checks apparently!

Anyone applied in March and whose status changed from forwarded to BHC to under processing or anyone got their visa who applied in feb last week/March 1st week.Please let me know.

I applied in August 2010 and my wife applied in July 2011, both of us got within a week. Applied from Bangalore VFS for Tier 1 and Tier 1 dependant respectively.

This is the further response I got.

The visa application is still under process, as we are awaiting results for our enquiries from external sources. I am afraid it is not possible to tell you exactly when we will receive these results. However we will contact you as soon as a decision has been made. We would therefore ask you for your patience while we assess your application in line with our normal procedures
Any Idea what thsi means?
