Hi uk4James

sad to know abt ur rejection.
my comapny also doesnt give pay slips on letter head. they send out an email for pay slips.
i would take a primout of it and get it signed and stamped by the finanace people.
and a salary certificate on letter head, band statements, gross earnings projection by the company and a letter from CA.

i donno if this is too much.
it all depends on currency rate on the date of last application. in my case, now the sal is 7560 pounds. am planning to apply on december 1st. just in case the pound rate goes up to 86 or 87..then i am in soup. the annual earnings will obviously come down. my tension is that>>>>>

freebirds,
Thanks for the advice, and I was able to provide that information in my second application... that is what I am waiting for a decision on now. Hopefully we all get case workers soon.

Congrats root :D .. All the best for EC

and can I know where you guess that you got 90 points and where you loosed 15 points?

I think you claimed 35 (exp) + 35 (earnings) + 5(age) + 15 (education)=90

Where you claimed extra 15 points?

I claimed 15 points for significant achievement.

I claimed them to be on safe side else I know I would not get points in this. Its always good to atleast point out some of ur achievements even though u dont have strong proofs for it.

Main problem people criticised on earnings period, they asked me to exactly submit 12 months earnings just b4 application received. I didnt do that and see I got approved.

07 Nov: Just called and still 'in progress', however now know what has been happening: they needs three caseworkers to confirm a decision. The first caseworker made the decision very quickly last week without verification, then subsequently the following caseworker(s) went for verification, but will make decision 'very soon, within 1 week'. (I actually knew that the document verification was made last thursday with my former employer).
hsmper6thOct wrote:06 Nov: called again (not 6020 number), was told 'still in process, but won't take long, please call back by the end of the week or early next week'.

17 Oct 2006: Awaiting allocation for a caseworker
26 Oct 2006: Just called, primilinary decision made, but need to be confirmed in the final stage to make sure that 'they don't make mistakes'. They suggested me call again on Monday to check the result, which will be definitely made (and the application documents would be sent back to me by then). I then called my previous company but they said they had never received any enquiry. What would be the possible result? I asked him indirectly but he would not disclose any info at this stage because the result had not been finalised.
27 Oct: called again. The materials were with a case worker. wounldn't tell me how long it will take or the status.
30 Oct: called again. It is with case workers and still pending. Receptionist told me the result may come out 'very soon, maybe at the end of the week, or early next week, or several weeks'. suggested me call back on Friday.
02 Nov: Called again on the ***6020 number (direct HSMP number), was told the materials were still with caseworker. documents were sent out for verification. Couldn't tell me how long it would take.
03 Nov: updated from my former employer. background checked by local authority.

Dear hsmper6thOct,
Dont worry everything will be alright. You will get it approved.

Just a small doubt...

During the period you claimed work experience, have you finished Bachelors & masters? or did you done work & studies in part time simultaneously?

Thanks

Thanks hari15. I finished my bachelor's degrees and then worked for two years, then got fed up, so resigned and moved on to pursue PhD study here.

Seems very different.

take me for example, a under-28 year-old phd fresh graduate from Uk universities will almost automatically get 75 points. don't even need to show the past earnings and work experience.
50+20+5=75.

but the person who is at age greater than 29 ,graduate level has to show so much earnings in order to qualify. I dont like it . as I have to show lots of earnings in UK for extensions.

Yes same points system for extension as well not like before where no points system for extension

Hi Root,

Congratulations and good luck with EC. I have followed your posts and was hoping to your approval!!!

How long did it take to get the result after the caseworker was assigned? How did you get your caseworker email address? Do they inform it when you call 6020?

Congratulations again!

Regards,

V.

But root, Those who are getting HSMP under old scheme also should apply for extension in this new scheme?

yes, they will be taken automatically under this scheme for extension.

main challenge would be for people the past earnings as in old system there was no points system and people were getting extension even if they dont have job
