Submitted at London post office on Feb 14th. Received nothing yet.

today the processing times have been updated in the UKBA website to Biometric attended before 15th FEB. (see link below)

Hi all,

got my documents delivered to me this morning thru royal mail...
A letter saying that my application is accepted and the BRP will follow within 7 days. So waiting for the BRP..

will update the development

Got my BRP delivered this afternoon. Below is the timelines on my application

Applied on : 23rd january 2012
Biometric done : 14th february 2012
docs and BRP delivered : 13th march 2012

No, not yet. This is incredibly frustrating! Thoughts of my application collecting dust behind a case agent's desk where it had fallen is starting to dominate my mind. Or someone pilfering my mailbox. This tortuous waiting is starting to make me paranoid

Hi,

I had given the Biometric on 29th Feb and i got some very personal commitment at home and i am not in a position to travel. I had sent FAX to home office to expedite the process but have not received any update from them. Any idea after Biometric how long will it take the receive the passport.

does anyone know how passports are re-delivered to you? I understand that BRP are sent through courier. Are passports sent through regular royal mail, ie. no signature required? Or is it sent faster than regular mail?

Sorry to hear that u still have't received.
I guess both passport and biometric need sig and ID.

I did on 16th still waiting. It is 4 weeks now.. Too slow UKBA for inside UK application

Finally, FINALLY, received my passport today. Arrived by Royal Mail (TM). Signature required. Letter states I should receive my BRP within 7 working days. Crossing my fingers that I receive it by early next week. I submitted my biometrics on Feb 14. So it looks like UKBA is taking about 4 weeks.

BTW, I called UKBA this morning at my wits end. Spoke to someone there who advised that they don't provide any information UNLESS the application is outstanding 6 months.

Got my Biometric card today - Hopefully get passport by early next week.
I did my biometric on 16th Feb..

No, I haven't received my BRP yet. Odd, as my passport letter was dated March 13 and I received it by Royal Mail on March 15th. I do hope I receive it early next week.

Odd thing also was that I emailed DX Courier on March 15th and they replied I had a package coming. I thought DX was used to ship BRPs but instead on that day I received my passport via Royal Mail.

(Sorry Prakash - I don't know how to quote earlier messages so I'm just replying to this subject string.)

Do you, the applicant, have to sign for the BRP letter? Or can someone else sign for you. The thing is that during the day, when most couriers arrive, I am at work (hence the need for a Tier 2) so it seems illogical to be sending the BRP for your-signature-only 'sometime in the next 7 days' as if you can stay at home waiting for it.[/quote]

I signed for mine.. I'm sure anyone can sign but make sure u leave a photo ID with that person..
Even if u miss a deliv' u can re-arrange for next 48hrs or next 24 with a £6 charge.

I have attended my Biometrics Appointment 11th Feb and still heard nothing. I emailed TheDx, but according to them there was nothing for me. Am I the only one waiting for more than 5 weeks? It seems that most people here who have had Biometrics done days after mine received their Passports back.

Any suggestions?
