Tier 1 General Extension in UK - Self Employment

Hello,
I have my Tier 1 General visa coming up for extension in May 1st week . I'm a full time salaried employee ,however since i got into UK last December , my last 12 months earnings ( UK + Overseas earnings) doesnt get me to sufficient earnings to qualify for the points that i need . I'm falling short of £2500 in my earnings .

My question is - Can i show Self employment as other source of income? If yes , I have the following questions

- Bank statement from my personal bank account overseas and a Letter from the accountant , Will these 2 documents suffice as a proof of secondary earnings OR any addiitonal documens are needed ( like Invoice / tax proof etc of self employment ?

- Im not self employed or have any company .So will this be questioned ?I mean - does a person need to be self employed / registered as a sole trader outside UK in overseas in order to claim the secondary income ?

u don't need to be register, income from overseas is acceptable once you can prov it by 2 diffrent evidence and any support doc extra will be helpful in your case because the time is a bit critical and hope not b tricky for the case worker in your case

I'm not arguing why you ask this question. But it#s good if you word it in a way that it doesn't look like you are fooling UKBA. Remember, this is public forum.
