VISA Processing Times

Post by pazpatel » Thu Mar 15, 2012 8:48 am

Morning all,

UKBA have updated the VISA processing times in India.

Not sure if it is a good sign or not, in someways the more applications the better as they will maybe not look so indepth into everything, in some ways the more applications the longer it takes so not sure,

What are you thoughts?

Hi

Its a good things that new stats are available, but I just noticed something:

1) one of the application was processed within 2 days of submission, nice one

2) Worrying part - after that nothing got processed until three months of submission and only 90% of those were processed.

I hope I don't have to wait three months for my VISA...

I have recently joined this board. I have been reading these threads for for almost four months now.

I have submitted my wife's visa application at Delhi BHC on 22nd Feb,2012 and haven't heard anything.

I did check the newly published time yesterday and was surprised to know that they processed one application in 40 days, that's hard to comprehend. Anyways, Joining the 'waiting' queue with all of you.

Cheers.

Hi Guys

Got the ready for collection status and SMS as well. Wife will be going tomorrow morning to pick it up from the New Delhi VFS office (Nehru Place).

I did not get any phone calls for employment confirmations.

I hope I get the VISA, you are never sure until you see the VISA on your passport!

God Bless all of us :)

Hi

Yes, the first two and the last two messages usually change very quickly because there is only operational (i.e. delivery/collection) work between them.

The part where it is on processing at the BHC, that's where the ECO assessing the application (the real work is happening).

Hi

It is £50K+

As long as you have monthly money coming into your account you should be fine. Savings is just a fall back scenario and you do not need to have so much, your amount sounds good as well.

Hi Guys,

I am still waiting for my wife's visa to be processed. Looks like it's taking a long time.My case is pretty straight forward as I am working for an investment bank. The only bottleneck I can think of is that my wife's bachelor degree (plus a letter of confirmation that the same was taught in English) was submitted instead of some exam (IELTS) certificate.

Also I gave some emails and chat logs exchanged between us.I didn't provide any call logs as I was using 0844 number to call her everyday.

Hoping for the best :)

Any thoughts, please share.
