Finally received our documentation back today! Now only EC left.

According to the HO, the documents were dispatched on 30 Oct, and the post office delivered its note yesterday, so that makes for just over a week's wait. The confirmation letter is dated 23 Oct though -- I assume the final checking took that week.

JD You just list in detail what all documents you submitted, how much points you claimed in what area and wordings in exp letter if any

I can say you the result is +ve or -ve (accurate to 90%) based on that

Since there is no verification in your case, if documents are good it must be +ve, otherwise -ve

"Your application is currently with the HSMP decision Team and is
awaiting consideration."

what does this mean.

My application received by HO on 17th Oct.

Hello All,

I'd like to share with you my result. I also take this opportunity to thank a lot this so helpful forum! It has been definitely a key factor for my accomplishment.

Update at Nov 06th, by email: "Case worked assigned and decision to be done very shortly."

Update at Nov 08th, by email: "Decision done at Nov 7th" Therefore, no verification.

Update at Nov 08th, by calling 6020, double checked at Nov 09th: Approved :-)!!

I claimed: Educational Background - 15, Work Experience - 25, Past Earnings - 35 and Age - 5, total 80 and scored 80.

Now waiting docs and letter to go to EC. I got really surprised for such a fast processing! I applied from Brazil.

Thanks,

V.

Hi Ukjobsforme & uk4james,
did your case have gone to case worker by now? Have you checked recently?

I mailed yesterday morning, asking about status of my application quoting the reference number. Still now didnt got response from them.

Will they ignore the mail like this? anybody experienced this before?

Hari15,
I sent an email yesterday morning as well to get status. I haven't heard anything yet either. They usually don't take this long to respond. If I haven't heard by tomorrow morning, I am going to call them since recently they don't seem to like getting calls on Monday and Tuesday... due to the message on the answering machine when you call.

It seems all of us are in the same week of ref # / cc charged: Oct 16-20th
dolphin_m70 - Oct 15
Uk4James - Oct 16
ukjobs4me - Oct 17th
sssm - Oct 18
Hari15 - Oct 19

None of us have gotten case workers yet. Is anyone elses from this week gotten or not gotten a case worker. This should help us track eachothers progress... too bad we are the group/week that is the cut off and gets horribly delayed.

I had sent a fax on *6021 (31-Oct) requesting that I would like to get my documents collected through courier. Wrote an email on 02-Nov requesting them to confirm that they received my fax and that the request has been noted in my file / on their system. Haven't received a reply to that email yet.

I called on 06-Nov (*6020) to enquire whether a caseworker was assigned. The answer was NOT YET !!, but the lady on the phone did confirm on the call that my fax for courier collection had been received and the request noted on their system.

Called again today (09-Nov) on *6020 - twice, but seems like they now have an IVR system working (answering machine). I pressed the right buttons but the ring went on endlessly (on both occassions) and nobody answered the phone. I held on both the times till the calls were automatically disconnected.

Have sent them an email enquiring about the status. Let's see if I get a response tomorrow or not.

regards

review request - please help

Post by sach1636 » Thu Nov 09, 2006 11:48 pm

hi,

I came across this forum recently

I am an IT professional with more than 7 years of experience.

My case was rejected twice by Home office on experience letter format. Once of the reasons I wanted to post here was may be some one will benefit from my experience (I am still not able to understand my mistakes though)

I had claimed 35 points under experience as I had 5 years+ graduate experience and two years as a manager in large top 5 MNC.

I had submitted following evidence,

-Experience letter from latest organization detailing my roles and responsibilities
-Organizational chart
-Org chart of present assignment overseas
-Appointment letter
-Increment letters
-Detail breakdown of my present duties and to whom I report
-Apart from above I had submitted appointment, experience & service letters, org chart with my roles and responsibility letters from my previous employers

My first application was rejected as experience letters did not have duties and responsibilities Sad

Today I received my second rejection letter saying we did not consider evidence you provided. Crying or Very sad

It is so agonizing considering the high cost of application and the time one wastes. I had also given offer letter from my new UK employer which had salary at a very top bracket at my level.

Despite all this I had received negative response which made me wonder 'Are they genuinely interested in candidates who want to contribute to their society and what significance they give to applications. I feel I am robbed. At the cost of expenses some family in poor country would have survived for almost entire year.'

Despite all this I want to submit request for review letter, I do not want to loose my hard earned money without reason.

I request you all to please suggest what I should include in my review letter. Any help is highly appreciated.

Dear Sach,
Very sorry to hear your result.

But you know one thing? even OISC registered consultants were scared to claim senior level / specialist level work experience

Even I have 6 years experience with 1 year experience as Project leader

I asked my consultant, Can I claim 5 years Graduate level & 1 year Senior level

He Replied "If you can get 65 points by 4 years Graduate level, Dont claim Senior level"

He also said that Success % in Senior level claiming is not even 10% how much ever genuine it is is, he told

At last I submitted by application by claiming only 5 years of Graduate level exp (result didnt came yet)

Sach dont worry, Under new system of points there is no experience criteria at all, It has only earning , Qualification & age as important criterias. If you are getting 75 points in that then dont worry, apply under that new scheme by December

hi vbellino,
I tried requested an update of my application status on Tuesday(on 7th oct 2006).. i got a response saying giving status via email is not encouraged as it is a security issue. Then I called them and they said. "Case worker assigned". No more details.

Can you please tell us how to get response via e-mail or more information on phone?
