zainy here is the ukba policy

Calculating absences from the UK
When calculating absences from the UK for long residence, a month is made up of 30
calendar days.
You must check carefully:
• information on the application form
• any UK exit and entry stamps in the passports
• the landing cards section on warehouse to confirm when the applicant entered the
UK.
You must be satisfied that there is sufficient evidence to show that the applicant has been in
the UK continuously for 14 years as required under the rules.

1. Thanks all for the wishes.
2. The only thing i can recommend is not to include any extra documents with your application (unless you have to do it to explain sumfin).
3. Another thing i can recommend is to include a prepaid special delivery envelope as it helped us a lot to track our parcel frequently.

Hello Everyone!

I submitted:

Life in the UK test
Previous Home Office letters from 2002 to 2012
My current and previous passports
A cover letter, explaining an invalid application made 2005.
Reason (HO changed the form a few days before I made my application, as a student, I was lucky though, the case worker sent me a new form to fill, they did not return my documents). No Gaps

Can a moderator, guru or anyone knowledgable, tell me, if you think there may be a problem for me? Do you think my invalid application my be a barrier????
All for one, one for all..... Peace

I have always abide by all rules and regulations never out of time renewal. here is the detail of my application submission:

submitted on 20/12/2011
money taken 22/12/2011
acknowledged 23/12/2011
still waiting.........................

I submitted,

copies of previous granted visas
Subject access request
Police report of Lost Passport
Payslip
life in the UK test
obviously, my new passport

Can anyone tell what time i should roughly expect my passport back? Thanks.

Hi Perry,

No solicitor mate, I apply on my own after seeking advise from a former home office caseworker. I am lucky enough to have scanned every single page of my lost old passport which showed all the prev visas. All the previous visas copies are attached and explained in a cover letter. All the visas are also covered in the SAR. so you need to apply for one well on-time before your submission.

AT LAST A RESULT

Post by LuckyEB66 » Tue Mar 27, 2012 4:51 pm

Applied 4th December 2011
Account debited 6th December 2011
Letter confirming application recieved 7th December 2011.
Still waiting and very frustrated.

We feel trapped as we can't make plans to travel, and worried about complaining. I can not believe that it has taken so long to process our application.

Tuesday 10th April 2012. Our postman left a card today for my husband to collect from the sorting office. Fingers crossed we will have our ILR.

Finally, ILR stamped with March 2nd 2012. not sure why there was a months delay in posting back to us, but am happy

hi guys
I applied for 10 years long residence on 29th February 2012.I registered my biometrics on 12th March 2012. One of my friend who registered his biometric on the same day(he applied for PSW) he called yesterday to the HO and they told him that they have already posted his documents.
I am hoping to get my documents back in this week.
I am going to call HO tomorrow about the update on my application.
Any suggestions?
