My suggestion would be: Do not panic to start with.

You need to show the bank statements covering the period for which you are claiming the Income. So if you are claiming from 31st March, make sure, your oldest bank statement shows that day. The last (or say the newest) bank statement can finish upto a month old. So if you are appearing on say 28th March, your bank statement can be as old as upto 28th Feb. However, keep an eye for what period you are claiming

The requirement for the bank statement to be maximum of 1 month old is only for Maintenance
For previous earnings, you need to show 12 month continuous earnings out of last 15 months from date of application, the statements should show all the payments made to you for the period which you are claiming.

I am claiming for the period upto 31st March 2012. I have got the printout of the bank statements up to 24th March 2012.The salary credit was on 23rd March which reflects in the statement. Is it mandatory to show bank statement till March 31st 2012 ?

I'm claiming for the consecutive period of 1st April 2011 to 31st March 2012.

Thanks
Sali

Hi Sali,

Since 27th mar 2012 is your appointment, it will be impossible to get bank statements till 31st mar 2012 as you don't know what transactions will take place after 27th mar.

I think as long as you get bank statements till 23rd showing your salary that should be fine. (you can get upto 26th or 27th if possible)

I am also applying after you. I am doing the same thing. I am trying to get originals till 23rd showing the salary and the printouts on bank letter head from 24th to 28th.

I will leave it to other experts to comment on this.

Also request you to update this post if possible on 27th after your PEO experience which should help me and many others.

Not a senior, but having read the policy guidance ,
I think all you need to submit for previous earnings
is bank statement for the period you are claiming *showing all the payments/salary credits* , as long as your salary credit transaction is there, the purpose is served. You can even claim earnings for less than 12
Months.
I have also used the same for my postal application.
In my case statement is up to only 24th feb 2012, and I have claimed till month of feb 2012 from march 2011
My statement is even 1 month old, as I sent my application today

Thanks

What you have is perfectly fine. Do not postpone the appointment for no apparent reasons. Good Luck x
