Tier 1 extension - PEO Liverpool - Successful

Post by tier1HS » Tue Mar 27, 2012 2:29 pm

I had my tier 1 (general) visa succesfully extended at Liverpool PEO today. I have utilized the services of an immigration consultant.

I had submitted the following documents as evidence:

Main applicant (me)

1. Academic qualification (post graduate degree certificate)
2. Stamped and signed salary slips from my 2 employers
3. A letter to certify my employment from my employers
4. HSBC bank statements to corroborate my net salary
5. English language proof (as was submitted with original application)
6 HSBC bank statements for maintenance funds
7. Photographs
8. Current and past passport
9. Driving license (as I had a fixed penalty traffic light violation offence, committed in 2008). This, I had mentioned in the criminal convictions section, even though fixed penalty notices are not criminal convictions)

Dependent (my spouse)

1.Marriage certificate
2.Current and past passports

The process started around 9 AM and was complete with decision from UKBA by 10:45 AM

Thanks to this immigration forum, from which I have got valuable advises.

Congratulation dude...

Is marriage certificate necessary to attach with your application?

My 1st Tier 1 was applied as a single and then I called my wife here who is more than now 1 year in UK. Her passport also define my name after her.

Please do let me know.

Thankz

Its PGD from one of the Indian Institute of Managements. I had got points for this in the original tier 1 app in 2009. Hence, was able to use it again.

In my case, my wife's passport does not have my name, nor does my passport have her name. Hence, marriage certificate was absolutely necessary.

In your case, its good that her passport includes your name. Hence, it may not be absolutely necessary.

Congrats for getting your extension.

Can you please tell me whom did you consult for your application? I mean you said you had immigration services. Also do they book an appointment for behalf of you?

Thank you,

NK.
