I have to apply for the Tier 1 (Gereral) extension. For the maintaience can I show the maintenance fund from the Joint Account. I'm the primary member of the account and my wife is the secondary member. Please advise.

Are you simply too lazy to read the guidance? You can even enter joint into the search file of an open PDF and go directly to the information.
