Help

Post by davvo » Wed Mar 28, 2012 12:23 pm

I submitted an application for PSW on the 19th of march 2012, via special delivery, and has not received an acknowledgement from HO till date. 28/03/12

I am worried cos I don't know if my package got lost in transit or ........
but I had used my tracking number the following day and confirmed it had been delivered even saw an electronic proof of delivery,

But out of anxiety, I rechecked at royal mail website today and the system tells me there is no record of my parcel that I should check back again.

What do I do in the interim. I will appreciate any help.

Don't worry, your mail hasn't been lost. I think Royal Mail removes the online access to record after a while.

What method of payment did you use? If you used debit card or cheque you can see if they've taken the money out.

Have you checked to see whether UKBA have taken the application fee yet? Don't worry too much though. There seems to be a delay in receiving acknowledgement letters lately and some people never receive them.

You could always ring Royal Mail just to check - they may have just removed the information because the parcel was successfully delivered.

Postal orders are a little trickier to check but you could try here:

and

Good luck!

Thanks, they are quite tricky, I rather called Home Office and was asked to call back if I get neither of my acknowledgment or invite for biometric enrollment.

once again thanks for being so helpful.

Hi

I've sent my application on the 22nd march by special delivery. Checked the morning and it says the application was delivered on 23rd and there is an electronic proof of delivery with some ones sign on it. I phoned up post office to check if the postal order has been encashed. Apparently they weren't encashed yet. I am worried whether they got the application. To avoid any mistake in writing the address, I printed off the front sheet and cut the address part and attached it in the front of the envelope. Does any one knows how long it takes for them to encash/process postal orders? Please let me know.

By the way, I think some one asked about status of the postal orders. You can call these numbers: 01246542091 or 01246542500 and give the voucher number and they will be able to tell you if the postal orders were encashed. I just want an acknowledgement that they recieved the application. After that they can take as much time as they want.

Thanks chaps!!!

The Royal Mail proof of delivery in itself is proof that the application was delivered/received successfully, its a waiting game now, keep in mind that HO are very busy due to the increase in volumes of PSW visas considering it ceases next week.

Judging from other posts on this forum there seems to be a long delay in processing payments:

Hi

I posted my application on 27 March. It was received by UKBA on 28th. I have used debit card as payment method but money has not been taken yet. I understand there are delays now due to rise in application volumes but jus anxious...hence posting..

what do you expect anyone to say in response? You have said yourself there are delays due to volumes of applications.
