Heeey guys! goood newsss!!!!!!

My spouse rang home office today and spoke to a lady. apparanatly my coa was sent off yesterday, so i should receive it sooonest!!!!!

really happy about it and now just going to wait for royal mail

Aluter and heath2006: does this mean there is a slight chance that my COA
may be coming soon too and at the time I rang, the system wasn't updated? I really, really hope so

my only worry now is that, heath2006 was told his was sent off on the 22nd and royal mail takes 5 days max for 2nd class, so he should have gotten it today latest.

Anyways, if mine doesnt arrive by monday, i will be giving them a call.

aluter: I know! I was thinking the same when I got the post today. If it was dispatched on the 22nd of March I should have received it by now. Hopefully tomorrow…

Hi guys,,,just to update you as we have all applied on February,
I emailed HO today at 10:01 and I got the reply at 16:59 I asked if they have received my application and how long to get my COA and this is what they write.

Good Afternoon,

Yes your application has been received by United Kingdom Border Agency. And, the Certificate of Application has been despatched from our office.

Mate, In my own opinion I think it simply means your Application has been logde in and pass to a case officer.

Spike_UK,

You are very anxious to receive the CoA. As your RC is valid until 2014, the CoA won't have any implication other than confirmimg that you passed the first inspection of documents. This doesn't indicate what would be the outcome of your application once it is reviewed by a caseworker.

Thanks Jambo,do you mean I should or shouldn't get COA because I have RC until July 2014?
yes I'm anxious but do you remember my situation as I have applied for EEA4 based on 5 yrs relation(but married only for 3.5 years) so I was kind of hoping if there was a problem with that,,they would have just refused my application and returned to me with out sending me COA,,,, but im not sure, I might be wrong.

You should get a CoA even if your RC is valid. The point with initial inspection is that they only check that the documents provided matches their check list for the required documents but don't really read into them i.e. they just check that you have provided a marriage certificate but don't look at the date of marriage. This is done by the decision maker.

I hope the HO will apply discretion in your case and issue you the PR confirmation.

nothing for me yet. as i rang tuesday and was told nothing was happening, i kinda want to ring again to see if there was any changes like aluter had. i just want to know if my CoA has been drafted, then i can relax. (probably not though, as i will then be waiting for my RC lol)

was disappointed when it dint come today

already have a job from my student visa, i just want them to increase my contract to 40hrs lol

I rang UKBA. The lady wasnt as helpful today. She asked if i had rang recently. i said i had. She informed me that my application hasnt even been validated so there was no point in ringing and i should just wait until I receive my CoA.

Oh that wasn't good. I rang them monday and also spouse rang again yesterday...

It is def taking them a while just to validate an application.

Lets hope they speed things up.

I am just a few days behind yours, so maybe try them again monday if you havent gotten somethin in the post.

Today completes 6 weeks since i sent mine off.

Hopfully we get good news soon.

hi eea2 gurrus, as i have been following this forum for a while now i want to say keeping the pressure on HO is the only way to speed up the process.As in my last post i posted mine on 19 jan 2012 and till now no COA.I tried sending them e mail but no reply.Today i recieve a letter returning some document:payslip,contract, minus eea passport andmy passport and marriage cert and they require me to send the passports and marriage cert.I think they have lost it. please can you beautiful peeps in this forum advise me what to do next

Truth be told, I'm wary to contact HO again. They seemed to get irritated the more a person rings. At first I thought that I haven't received anything because my app is as an unmarried partner but since it's not even been looked at, I don't know now. Hopefully I will hear something in a few weeks
