Hi everyone! It's great to hear about your experience with the process! I sent my EEA2 application as unmarried partner in on 28 Feb, it arrived 29 Feb. No COA yet, am getting nervous.

What number are you using to get your updates? I called a number today, but it was all automated and said that they would not be giving progress reports.

heey isw_london, I will suggest you only try to get in touch with them end of next week. As the minimum they are taking to issue coa for february is 6 week!!!
I used this number 01516725626 but instead of clicking on 1, click on 2 (when you are asked if the call is regarding progress report or not).
Wish you luck

Hi isw_london, if you want to contact HO,I recommend you not to call them but write to them(Email), they will reply to you in same day or the following day with the proper respond(update).
I emailed them on Wednesday at 10:01 and they replied same day at 16:59
Good luck mate.

Hi spike, hi aluter - thanks for your responses.

I took spike's advice and emailed UKBA a couple of hours ago. I just received a response saying that according to their records, my COA has been despatched, yay! I guess I will receive it sometime next week, will confirm my timeline when it arrives.

I am sooo happy for everyone receiving their coa :) I emailed two days ago I got this reply today:

Good Afternoon,

Please be advised that I have forwarded your request to the team where your application is currently located.

Kind regards
Euro

I'm not sure what this means and how long I should wait before emailing again :( I'm frustrated that my application isn't being looked at :(

How long does it take after been despatched from their office? anyway mine would first go to solicitor on Monday hopefully and then she has to post it to me:(
Applied for EEA4 on 24/02/2012.
HO received on 27/02/2012.

At the court, the HO REP withdrawn the decision and asked me to send the DOC for the time before marriage.

Quick update: I got my COA at home address (even though I put work as the correspondence address). Here's my timeline thus far:

Application dated: 28 Feb 2012
Received by HO: 29 Feb 2012
Received COA: 30 Mar 2012 (dated 28th)

No right to work though apparently because I am applying as unmarried partner. Thankfully my Tier 5 doesn't expire until August. Fingers crossed the RC will come through well before then!

wow, you guys are all lucky

...no replies to emails, phone calls for us.

Directive 2004/38/EC, Article 10 - Issue of residence cards: "A certificate of application for the residence card shall be issued immediately" obviously means absolutely nothing.

Hi isw_london, so did you apply through a solicitor? if yes,,did you agree that your solicitor should get your posts on behalf you? My solicitor has applied for me, so I don't know she will get it or me,,,as the COA is already despatched.

Heey greatscott, they never replied to my 2 emails either so dont feel bad. but do try ringing them and also clicking on the option 2 (not the one about progress).

HO got your application, more or less the same day as mine and according to their record my coa was sent off on the 27th. My only problem is why is it taking this long to get it in the post!

best of luck.

Hey heath2006, it is very annoying the whole time being wasted from dispatch to us getting it. while some people get their's after 2days, honestly do think they lied to us about it being sent off. i will be giving them a call on monday if mine doesnt arrive then.

*hiss

Hi spike, sorry can't help you there. I applied myself, so the letter came directly to me. Have you asked your solicitor, I'm sure she can tell you whether the letter will go to her or you.
