Employer Letter for Wife's ILR

Post by gtx2010 » Sun Apr 01, 2012 12:14 pm

Gents,

My wife needs to apply for ILR on 15th May 2012.

I need to get a Employer letter for financial proof, can I get a letter now (say 2nd April) and present it on 15th May for her ILR application? Or do I have to get the employer letter closer to the application date?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi

It would be a lot more better if you get the employer letter near to your wife application date.

Good luck for your wife ILR.

Hi,
I am also applying for my wife's ILR (+2 dependents) using SETM form at the end of May. I didn't see any such requirement of employer's letter. Is it not sufficient to submit last 3 month's payslips and bank statements ?

Rantac...you're correct. Financial evidence should be in the form of bank or savings statements + Pay slips if employed.
gtx2010 Why the employer's letter? Doesn't your wife have pay slips?
What happened following this thread on March 17th??..
I am British citizen working full time, and earning around £2500 after tax every month. My wife just received her Indefinite Leave to remain and not working at the moment. Would she be able to claim any benefit at all?

Or in this thread on 16th March where you say:
I need to make an application for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in UK as a spouse

Many Thanks guys! What I can undertand from your suggestion that employer letter is not mandatory. But I thought would be nice to get it as well as a proof that how long I have been working and what position etc. I think I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Thanks again

As according to your previous posts, your wife already has ILR and you have British Citizenship....there doesn't seem to be any need for an employer' letter does there?? What on earth are you applying for:?
