the reason fr 27k

Post by Confucius » Tue Apr 03, 2012 9:30 am

I have seen it around me so so so many times where couples get married, get their visa and then either the sponsor or the spouse from Pakistan get down to claiming benefits, playing the system to get as much as they can monetary wise.

Those with a low wage are more likely to go on benefits, those on a wage higher than the national average will be less likely to claim from the government due to their "needs" making them unlikely to go on the dole to claim £60 a week r whatever the sum is at the moment

I appreciate the big problem here is for those who marry in their 20's and have had to spend all their money and finished degrees,, they do work hard and due to being on the bottom steps of the ladder in regards to salary, they are getting hard done by as they will probably not the reach the bracket for a few years , maybe in their mid 20's

I am all for it on the basis that it will make people work harder and when they do claim benefits they will have the same rights as any other person because they have earned it (quite literally)

I have friends who will be caught out by this but I think you if you really want something to happen you can and for those who really cannot the system should have exceptions for them

You need it translated the english and them attested by a notary officer or some officer. I would also make sure your nikah is registered with your local union council. Just make sure the Imam you get and any of his staff do this, you don't have to worry about that, it's down to them to sort out.

ok thanks. so when the nikah is done i get the mufti to stamp it. then i take that copy and get it translated. my original and the translation then has to attested by a notary officer. where would i find these from. after i have to get my nikah registered with the union council. am i right?

They will register is with the council, that is the Imam and his staff if they attend.

Your notary officer which usually be in the town centre, these are things your relatives in Pakistan will know about. You just need to make sure the translation is correct and that you tell the Imam to make the Nikah is registered.

Salaams.

I've just spoken to the duty ECO at Abu Dhabi. She's advised me that, alot of applications have been processed and there are approx 60 applications more they have to complete within the next week and they will all be sent back togeather.

So Im going to call her on wednesday. Meanwhile, relax, if your application is in Abu Dhabi, you won't hear anything atleast until next week, more than likely 2 weeks.

:)

Dude, the loop hole here is that all the sponsor needs to do is get any temp sort of employment for 3 months and once visa application is submitted the sponsor reverts back to the reliance on the dole and spend the rest of the days watching cricket on tv.

What should be required minimum 2 years of pay slips with evidence of ni contributions. simple as that, this minimum salary nonsence will not stand in human right appeals.

Regards

Imran

You should have said, given that each application costs around £830, what are they so cheap that they can't submit them individually or in smaller packs.

If it was a joey I wouldd've, but considering it was the ECO I thought I'd keep her sweet.

How did you end up speaking to an ECO anyway? Thought they were impossible to contact directly.
