Tier 1 (Dependant) Visa from India - For Newborn

Post by jsamuel » Fri Mar 30, 2012 7:04 pm

Hi,

I want to know the procedure for applying visa for our newborn kid. Me and my wife have visa valid till 2014. My wife is currently in India where she gave birth to our child.

I want to know:

1) How do we take photographs for 1 month old kid

2) Do we need to take our kid to VFS while applying for visa

3) What are necessary documents for this

Thanks in advance

1) Check with photographers/shops dealing in Passport photos in your country

2) I guess the person / child needs to be present at the time of biometrics

3) a-Main applicants passport copy
b-Visa/BRP copy
c-Bank Statement (maintenance)
d-Birth Certificate
e-Salary Slips (main applicant)
f-Rental Agreement
etc.

I dont think there is BRP for a children so young...
I was adviced by the VFS that my son (3 months old) will not need a Biometric.

You don't need Biometrics for infants but did you take your child to VFS for visa application? I guess that was question #2

Hi there, I would appreciate if you can tell me the details you have submitted.
Also have you chosen the Work - > dependent child section before filling up the details.

If the certificate is in english and urdu then you don't need to get an english translation. The birth certificate should be enough to prove the relationship.
