Tier 1 Dependent Visa Maintenance Funds from India

Post by Venkat Reddy » Wed Apr 11, 2012 5:55 pm

Hi

I have more than £3000 worth of fixed deposits in India in rupees (Indian currency) so planning to show these as maintenance funds for my wife dependent visa. The fixed deposits can be en-cashed any time.

Actually I have maintained £600 in UK current account for more than 3 months. As per my knowledge & comments on this web, £600 is enough for my dependent visa, as I am staying in UK on Tier 1 visa for more than 3 years.( Planning to apply visa in 1st week of May 2012)

But some people are saying I have to show £533+£800 so I am getting confuse.

My options are:-

1.Show UK bank statement along with Indian Fixed deposits
2.Only UK bank statement

I would like to go with option 1, which is secure but same time worrying is there any chance of case worker will get confuse.

Can you please advice me what is the best option?

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,
Venkat

You only need to show £600, if you have been in the UK for the time you have specified
