when is certificate of sponsorship is used ?

I have come to know that my Certificate of Sponsorship has been used i.e. by UKBA when do they actually do it doest it give an indication of the stage of application process.

if it is done after biometric or before biometric ?

As far as i know, if the COS status has changed from assigned to used it means you application has been processed/is currently under process and in final stages. You should hear from them soon. All the very best

BTW may i know when did you submit your application and when did you do biometrics. Is it switching or extending??

I am not sure about that to be frank. But all i can say is its almost done and should not be too long. Keep your finger crossed. As i asked can you please share you time lines of application and bio metric please??

i have posted it on feb 20th and gave biometric on 23rd march.. i have special circumstance and i wrote a fax to them requesting to expedite the process. .. i saw in the forum someone mentioning about the time frame after which they got after COS used status.. can any senior member GURU advise on this issue many thanks
