Did you send in a urgent treatment form, as you were wanting to earlier ??

Try calling again ... tomorrow .. or later ... the person on the phone that time might be more helpful and might tell you your result.

I dont know about my case, I didnt called this week. Just sent a mail to HO asking about status. May get reply tomorrow

Last status is Nov 10th- No caseworker

I got a job, but that company is delaying in giving me official letter

If they give, I can apply for Urgent Treatment form. I think I will get that offer letter only by friday (17th)

I "guess" mostly by now my case may be with case worker, since many here got caseworker

But I really wish my case to goto caseworker after urgent treatment form. Because I feel that job offer will increase the chances..

If my case already gone to case worker, then I am missing that benefit :(

I am completely at a loss in understanding how HO prioritizes the HSMP applications received - age / nationality / education / profession ?????

While some of us whose cc were charged in the week on 16-20 Oct are still waiting for a caseworker, there are some "lucky" friends whose application reached HO later than ours but a decision has already been taken on their application

Here's just one example (copied from another thread) -
Application sent : 26th Oct. 2006
Received by HO : 30th Oct. 2006
CC Charged : 30th Oct. 2006
Reference No. : 2th Nov. 2006
Approved on : 8th Nov. 2006
Document Rec : 15th Nov. 2006
Destiny ??? Maybe ....

I do have to agree ukjobs4me... it is rather frustrating. I am getting really sad with the whole process... It is so hard for me to continue living on the edge of my seat like this... I don't think they realize that for some of us our lives are in complete limbo until we hear a result... either no job, no place to live, ect... It is very hard on a lot of us. This must just show how strong some of us are. :0) If you are still waiting for result... good luck to everyone... best wishes to all applicants.. hopefully this new process will prove to be more efficient.

Hey! Stop moaning -- we're all volunteers here, and you surely should have more than enough common sense being a highly-skilled person to figure this out for yourself.

This forum really ticks me off some days.

I do believe that's the biggest reason they've brought it in. People were gaming the old system, which had much more subjective criteria. Now its pretty much down to age, qualifications and income. Some will win, some will lose; that is unfortunately life.

Sorry to say "Application once again Refused" :(
Second Application
Point Claimed
education 15 As Claimed
Experience 25 (Claimed 50)
Spouse 0
Earning 0

I got 25 points of earning in first application.
Earning Period july 2005 to june 2006
Salary Slips+Tax return+salary certificate as supporting
Applied in Sep but they accept my 12 month period

In second application (applied in Oct with same particulars) HO stated that my 12 month period is three month behind and they calculated 9 month earning instead of 12 month.

Please suggest

From India

Docs posted by HSMP via airmail:9th nov
Didnot reach yet
Result: Rejected..

Eagerly waiting for originals with what the case worker says on my points.. I am really surprised by rejection..
Appears no logic in decisions made as some one fakes docs( to be in right format they require) get approved.. While genuine documentation gets rejected..:(

I also had WP from 2001-2003. That I thought would make my case stronger..Funny are the ways...breathe easy!!!

Pray that we get all originals in good condition..

...HSMP rejection reasons

Post by sssm » Thu Nov 16, 2006 10:28 am

Dear All,Senior members, Panteima, John and Moderators

I just got my docs safe.

But whats ridiculous is the points they awarded

Education: Claimed 25. Got 15. I am an M.Tech from J.N.T.U hyderabad. Is M.Tech from JNTU not considered as Post graduate?

Has anyone with M.Tech from JNTU applied and please let me know their experience with HSMP.

Work Exp: Claimed 25. Got 0. I have 10 years of exp. As my current org didnot provide me job descriptions ( close to 4 years). I still stand to get 25 points there. Surprising!!!

Past Earnings: 25. This is my current company salary details.

Really surprising they accepted salary details but didnot consider my current exp in the World No. 2 Product Development company in Software.

My doubt is.. I planned to apply for HSMP last year itself in March 2005. I got my reference letters from my previous companies in Mar 2005. I used them now. Will it make a difference?

How do I put my case for review? The space given for our explanation is hardly 3 lines?

Please help.

No Docs after 3 weeks

Post by shazlee » Thu Nov 16, 2006 10:28 am

I am getting afraid, HO dispatched my original docs back on 26/Oct by airmail to Sialkot Pakistan. I have no information. My post man says mostly mails takes 2 weeks.

Can someone share information if his docs took this long for Pakistan.

You should have got the letter of comparability from NARIC. By doing so, you'd have known for sure how many points you would score.

Work Exp: Claimed 25. Got 0. I have 10 years of exp. As my current org didnot provide me job descriptions ( close to 4 years). I still stand to get 25 points there. Surprising!!!
4 years out of 10 straightway out of scope (lack of JD). Out of the remaining 6 and assuming that you provided detailed description of job descriptions for the remaining 6, it is possible that the caseworker did not consider them (or part of it) graduate level.

Past Earnings: 25. This is my current company salary details.

Really surprising they accepted salary details but didnot consider my current exp in the World No. 2 Product Development company in Software.
That's a very wrong assumption applicants have .. that working for any of the top 5 companies in their sector will automatically ensure points. Yes, it can add credibility to your case, but definitely doesn't get you points. That's why detailed JD is asked for.

My doubt is.. I planned to apply for HSMP last year itself in March 2005. I got my reference letters from my previous companies in Mar 2005. I used them now. Will it make a difference?

...ONE MORE

Post by sssm » Thu Nov 16, 2006 11:57 am

I had UK WP validity 2001-2003. I thought that would be credible enough for them. Once As I had already stayed in the country?

Can I describe a lot in cover letter? Can please let me know more on this?

So have you provided the reference letter from UK company where you worked with job details?

If you have done that it will really add to credibility. (Showing workpermit and all wont make any difference, reference letter from Uk company is better as far as I know)

I have one Doubt.....Seniors please clarify

Actually my case is this...

I am in WorkPermit in UK for past 2 years

My Contract termination notice been given last week by my current employer with one month notice, due to the completion of project..

Luckily I got new job offer in UK, unfortunately Job offer will come to my hand only by tomorrow :(

Since I am in urgency, I faxed the Termination notice of my present company and asked for "Urgent Treatment" saying that I should take offer from a new company and my present contract is terminated due to completion project and also informed that I will fax new job offer tomorrow

My worry is, Faxing of termination notice for urgent treatment form will create any negative impact? Will the urgent treatment faxes goes to case worker? Or it is just to register in system as to be "urgently treated2?

Please ukjobsforme or some seniors please clarify

Thanks
Rama

I attached original work permit to the application as a independent supporting document. I worked for UBSW client through my Indian Company.

I had a employee reference letter from the Indian company.

How do I get review? Can I fax it? whats the fax number and/or call and talk to case worker?

hi Parrot,
how long you have been in UK after gettng HSMP? What is your current country of residence and Nationality? Don't job consultants respond with job offers? Are companies not willing to take HSMP guys? Are you into IT or any other area?
-Thanks,
