I haven't received any response yet?

Post by gabysls » Thu Apr 12, 2012 6:56 pm

Hello everyone!

I sent my application last week on 3rd April and UKBA received it on the next day. I haven't received an acknowledgement, and the money has not been deducted yet. Looking at the waiting time thread, people seem to be getting initial response within a few days. Is this something to be worried about?

I called them today and they said, "There's nothing we can do to track your application, you just have to wait for further communication. You might want to check with your bank in case there's a problem with your bank".

I called my bank and they confirmed that there was no problem with my account at all.

What should I do now? I know that Bank Holidays were in between my submission and now, maybe that's a factor? I really hope that there's not going to be a problem at all, my visa runs out end of this week!

Thank you kindly.

Gabby

Sent on the 3rd, assumed arrived on the 4th, opened on the 5th and put in the 'in' pile.

There's then 3 working days between then and now. I'd be surprised if you get a response this week, but that's me.

Did you send it recorded delivery so you have proof of delivery?

take a look around the forum and you will see that this is a very common problem. You just need to wait. They won't process your payment or send you an acknowledgement letter within 3 working days.

Thank you MPH80. I just don't want them to return back the documents for any mistakes etc since my time runs out end of this week.

Thank you Greenie, that's a relief.
