passport and documents?

Hi there i am sorry if posted in wrong area but i am new to this and have spent half hour searching of where to post, so slapped wrists if wrong.

Please if any one been in the situation, our application for flrm took a little longer than expected, due to ongoing matters, but after so many months, and our full cooperation in everything, solicitor has just contacted to say 2 days ago all our documents what we have sent over past few months he has recieved back from them now, but no passport or letter etc, as yet, just letter stating documents of everything sent over 2 year period is enclosed, has anyone else been granted stay etc and recieved them back seperately at all.... many thanks all answers and experiences appreciated
