HO posted the docs

Post by niruv » Fri Nov 17, 2006 1:14 pm

Hi All,
HO says that they have dispatched my docs on 1st -Nov, but still i didn't get. and when i enquired about my application status, they said, they could not reveal that. But in so many posts it is written that they got the status thru phone.

I came to know thru this fourm that normally it takes 9-10 days to get the docs.

As i am in bangalore. india, it should not take more than 9-10 days.

So by this time docs should have come.
Please guide me what to do?

Thanks!!

There were many topics discussed earlier .. search this forum to get the telephone number where you will know the decision.

Also get the postal reference number and trace it in royalmail website.

Hi Maar,

Is it really possible to have a postal reference even for docs sent outside the UK? As far as I know they use standard airmal to send docs out of the UK and I am afraid it is not possible to track that.

Hi Niruv,

Regarding the decision, they usually disclose that by phone, calling on + 44 114 207 6020. They just ask you some personal details and let you know the result. At least for me it was like that.

I wish you all the best!

Thanks,

V.

Niranjan

It took around 10-12 days for me to receive docs in Bangalore. I went to my branch post-office, met postman concerned and requested him to inform me as and when some post arrives. Even if they can't find you at given address, your courier will be retained in postoffice for a week.

I know its an agonizing wait - but be patient. Talk to your local postoffice and ensure post wasn't returned.

Cheers,
Amjad.

Hi Amjad,

Do we have to sign any receipt when the postman deliveries the documents?

Thanks,

V.

If the current address in the HSMP form is one outside UK - in that case HO neither couriers the documents, nor does it send the documents by registered post. There is no way of tracing the progress. All such documents are sent by "normal airmail".

Only UK deliveries are sent by registered post (recorded delivery) and can be tracked on the royal mail website.

Hi All,

Thanks for ur response.
Called to both the numbers 44 114 207 6020 and 0044 114 207 4074, but the answer is same; they cannot reveal the decision. About the docs; they said, to call them if i dont get even after one week.

I even went to local post office, they asked me the tracking no.
Will HO have this information?
Thanks again for your suggestions.

Regards,
Niruv.
