No. You are working on an outsourced project. HO shouldnt expect you to be in your country of earning for what you claimShadry wrote:I am sorry if I keep bothering guys on the forum with issues but I will appreciate any help and education in regards to overseas earning for tier 1 extension
Is it a must that the applicant must be physically present in the country of earning in order to gain points for overseas earning?
In my case I travelled to my country to do some consultancy work last year September but would not get paid for this job until may 2012 ending. Would HO accept this from me?
I was looking at application form for tier 1 extension section (J5) and found HO specifically mentioned form country where the applicant physically undertook the work...
If anyone has idea about how this work out I will appreciate any help please
that column is asking about physical location of work, not the applicant, so they can expect to see earnings in currency of that countryShadry wrote:I was looking at application form for tier 1 extension section (J5) and found HO specifically mentioned form country where the applicant physically undertook the work...

don't confuse yourself with 'overseas earning', there is no separate section for overseas earning points. as mentioned by manka10, in J5 you need to disclose country of earning so they can convert your non-GBP earnings into GBPShadry wrote:Is it a must that the applicant must be physically present in the country of earning in order to gain points for overseas earning?
Not necessarily, as it depends on the nature of work that one may do.Shadry wrote:Is it a must that the applicant must be physically present in the country of earning in order to gain points for overseas earning?
No, even employees travel overseas on work assignments.Shadry wrote:I am resident in uk and work for this company overseas, would not travel out to the overseas company count against me?
