TIER1-General to ILR

Hello Experts,

Sorry i am being forced to re posting my Query as there was no reply.
I request the Experts to respond yo my query.

I had been on student visa till July 2008 while i am on the student visa based on my last previous earnings and qualifications from india i had applied for Hsmp in January 2008 and got the HSMP approval in March 2008 and i had applied for Tier1 Visa stamping in July 2008 and got the Visa from 1st August 2008.

My question is as i was already in the country when i made the HSMP application and the received the Hsmp approval in March and stamping was in August

So just wondering for ILR from which date should i be counting 5 years from the date Hsmp approval letter received or the date HSMP/Tier1 Visa was stamped on my Passport.

Your 5 year starts from "Visa Valid From" date on your EC, i.e 1/Aug/08 from what you've quoted above
