Salam guys. For those who have had there status changed to ready for collection what time (uk time) did it change approx. thanks

Yasir maybe worth emailing the application centre manager at mirupur as sajid did and aziz did also and both had status changed so it does work.

Yeah am going to do that now just hate using my i-phone though to send e-mails. At work so will send it as soon as i get a chance.

I emailed them yesterday about 11 pm and havnt got no reply back I THInk mirpur are useless. just have to wait couple of days

u shud usually write a date which is with in 2-3 months from submission of application but honestly they dnt care what date u put in they'll take as much time as they want making the decision.

Nikah Nama not registered.

where was your nikkah held, coz mine was held in islamabad and the gerry's people were saying your nikkah nama isnt attested by unioncouncil; but islamabad has no union council.

In a small town called Arifwala. I know I said to the Imam. I said to him, I said to him 100 times and his colleague. Please make sure the nikah nama is registered.

Its not the Imaam jobs to register the marriage at the local UC.

UC have officials who should be present at time of nikkah and the onus is on them to register it. The Imaam only carries out the ceremony

soo sorry to hear this inshallah the appeal process will be over with quick they only made this change a few months back but havent really made it clear to people that nikah nama needs to be registered as many have been refused only due to this reason
Don't sress yourself

Insha'Allah your appeal will be successful and will not take that long, official nikkah naamas are something that you should do yourself, don't rely on anyone telling you they have done it for you (even if it is a maulana), make sure you do it yourself insha'Allah, especially for essential documents such as Nikkah Naama etc...

Update on my application - I emailed islamabad bhc to ask wat is going on with my application, seeing as it has been nearly 60 working days, I got the same standard auto-reply and which says my query will be dealt within 5 working days (then again it also says current processing times for settlement applications is 41 working days!)

For those of you who have got a invite to collect your documents, please keep everyone posted insha'Allah, may Allah reward your efforts ...

There is a simple reason why Mirpur and Karachi applicants haven't been called in yet, it's because the Gerry ACs there are not dealing with them as speedily as Lahore.

Just be patient, be patient for 2 days, you will get your responses and hopefully all can be united with their spouses over the next fortnight.

what u need is the signature and the registerar's stamp on the right side of the bottom bit on the second page, along with e rigetartion no on the first page check if u had both of them.

Could you explain what process you followed in the appeals procedure?

Did you submit only docoments covering their refusal reasons, or did you submit documents covering everything, ie. new bank statements, new wage slips, cause it's 4 months near enough since the original application.

first off the appeal is now submitted in leicester UK not Gerry's, calculate 28 calender days from the day u recieved the refusal thats ur deadline to submit the appeal. u should get your wife to send u a scan of the refusal letter read it carefully to see whats points have been raised.

i only submiited documents relevant to the refusal points, u dont submit evrything again. for instance if u wre ONLY refused due to the nikahnama not being registered u'd submit the following

-the appeal form iaft2 ( explain in detail how & why the nikahnama was not registered in section 3D of the form)
-copy of refusal letter
-registered & endorsed nikahanama ( i think its ok to submit a copy but please double check)

i think thats it but make sure u get the refusal letter and read it urself the wording in it matters alot. for instance have they just questioned the registeration of nikahnama or they are wondering if the marraige isnt a real one u know what i mean.

its ok u can ask..mine is abit of unusual reason, i am the applicant and i studied in london had some outstanding fee towarsd my university so they used that against me even though i paid the fee when the ECO asked me to i.e 3 days before my visa was refused.
