tier 1 general extension on basis PGD

Post by wattoo443 » Sat Dec 10, 2011 3:09 pm

Dear first time I got PSW on the basis of PGD from LCMIT in 2008. Within three months I moved to tier 1 general and on the basis of this PGD UKBA gave me 30 points . but now at extension time UKBA refused to give me 30 points which they have already given to me in the past .they have given me the right of appeal. Please let me know the chances of acceptance of appeal. if somebody faced same problem ,give me suggestions will be very great full to you
thanks

read the guidance. you may still be able to get the same points that you got the previous time, it actually discusses that issue in the guidance

Hi Jbm,

Sorry to share this.

UKBA has given its judgments on these PGCs and PGDs not once but twice:

- First in Feb/Mar 2009 when they stopped new PSW visas on the basis of PGCs and PGDs
- Second in Nov 2010 when they removed it from their Tier1 points calculator.

I’m not saying it may not still be possible, but it’s always good to know the facts. Good luck.

JBM

Don't worry I know 2 of my closest friends who got their extension approved on base of PGD.

They got the same points as they were given in their initial application.

Relax and calm down.
