I have been living with my partner for 4 years in the u.k. we came to accra to get married recently because she ws in the process of divorce when we met. The only downside on my part is i have 10 month drink driving ban. i have given proof of all my tenancy agreements ,income of my partner etc. could these circumstances cause them to refuse me?Lucapooka wrote:The decision has been delayed. My application for eea family permit was successful so I am now in the uk. I have been in the uk for a month now and I applied for residence card last week. something very silly has happened. My wife forgot we had sent her EU Id card for the residence application and she reported to the police and her embassy that she has lost it in while I was at work . Could this affect my application? she said when she reported to her embassy they took her details and told her the card will be cancelled. I told her to phone the embassy again and at the moment no body is picking up. But can this really affect my residency card application. What if you call the embassy and say you have found it again?

You wife will either need to get a new ID card and submit that, or submit her passport. Include a simple short cover letter explaining the ID card was cancelled, and asking, if you wish, for the immediate return of the new document.
its been 4 weeks now i submitted my residence card application and still not received my certificate of application. Can you please furnish me with a number i can call to check. Also sometimes i read forums where people say they checked on line and the ukba is now dealing with a particular months application. I went to the ukba website but couldnt find anything like that.
