Hi Friends,

I faxed all the documents, and the onine status says "The required documents and payment have been received and your enquiry is with an Information Officer pending completion."

How much time does it take to receive the verification letter from NARIC?
Official response says within 2 weeks, but any idea how soon can I expect the decision?

Hi Freebirds,

The HO has not specified any format.
so we can ask university for a proper format, if they can give letter accordingly. otherwise on the mercy of the university.
I am trying to access my university website, but the site is down for the last 2 days....and still we say "MERA BHARAT MAHAN" !!!!

Thanks for the information.
I did register; paid the charges online through credit card successfully.
In their mail; they said to send the documents through post or Fax on the number. I however have sent these documents, as PDF attachment in the mail message to info@naric.gov.uk
And still waiting for the confirmation from NARIC.
Their website is down since morning today.
I dont know should I send the documents again by fax or what? Still waiting for their confirmation.

Thanks,
nnj10
Bro , in naric.co.uk there is in the home page an option to track your status using unique reference number they send you,,, or alernately give them a call.

Hi Freebirds,

I applied to NARIC on 21st, faxed my all documents, and got a e-mail from NARIC that they have received my documents. and the estimated verification time that they have given is upto 15 december.
So it is almost 3 weeks from the date of application.

Anyways we cant do just wait till the decision is taken. and hope it to be in our favour.
Good luck to you and all fellow members here; who are awaiting their verification eagerly.

Thanks,

Hi,
Well, Life would be much simpler if our Indian degree awarding institutions can mention in the certificates, that the medium of instruction the course was taught in, was english. With Globalisation, and youngsters ready to move anywhere in the world all these modification in our system becomes imperative. But of course, having a mind set to sit for ur IELTS, if u have any of the native english speaking countries as your final target, is also an option.
Immigration law is mystery and a mastery in obfuscation, and the lawyers who can figure that out are worth their weight in gold.

Hi HSMP 2007,

I have not read anwhere in HSMP guide notes, whether one should get their degree evaluated. But in this forum I saw many people getting their degree qualification evaluation done from NARIC.

Frankly I dont know but still I applied for NARIC verification.
The only reason was, why to take chances? As if they reject the degree you gonna loose out substantial points, and possibly do not pass the 75 point threshold as required under the NEW HSMP.

So i would suggest, get your NARIC verification done before you attemp on HSMP form.

Hi HSMP_2007,

You can apply to NARIC for the verification; if you want to claim the points for your qualification. They are just going to compare your degree with the UK equivalent; this will facilitate to award the points claimed in your HSMP Application.

I suppose once you receive the NARIC verification; it should be valid for life time;as long as you can use your degree!!! (My common sense...)

Now, your other doubts:

1.I have missed one month salary slip so how do i proof that ?
You can ask your emplyer to give you a duplicate salary slip; with their endorsement. That should not be a problem, if you are working for any reputed employer.

2.I need to prepare the HSMP application and i have wague idea to prepare but not sure what are steps & letters required to submit ?
For this you can browse this forum and would come across with some good ideas, suggestions and sample cover letters posted by some of the fellow members as a ready reference for the applicants who are not sure what to do.
One such reference can be found at the link below:
http://immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=11159

3.Where do i get the new HSMP rules case working manulas.
You can access www.workingintheuk.gov.uk for the latest forms and guidance notes for the HSMP application. Read through carefully before attempting to fill out the form.

i got my medium of instr. from osmania university.
all it said was ' mr xxx s/o xx has passed his b.com degree in the year xxx in first div thru english medium'
there was not even a word on the letter that it is medium of inst letter.
donno if home office caseworker understand it in the correct way.

also i didnt get the letter from naric yet. the status is still pending.
one worry was, if the graduation in india is not equivalent to UK graduation, i think there is only one chance left..i.e IELTS...very tough to go thru this man.
hoping to get equivalence certifi from naric.
did anyone email them

thanks,

Well I guess from north based universties...but that really does not matter much...I hope NARIC will provide positive compatibility report..still negative..then go without it...u have to take risk...but dont speculate too much..without having result frm NARIC...

My app is with them from 15 Nov...still got no status so far

Hi Paramjit,

Have patience, I applied on 22nd and I am told my report would take upto 15th December. Seems NARIC has a backlog of applications.
