The actual reason in simple english is that they didn't believe it was a genuine marriage because it wasn't registered with the union council in my district in Pakistan. (Of course they put it into legal english, but this is basically what it means).

The Nikah Nama wasn't actually entered into the computer system as I was led to believe.

It has now been rectified and a new NADRA marriage certificate will be produced.

I don't know who or what to blame, but to be honest, the way I see it is, everything happens for a reason. One of my friends recently got a VISA despite not providing and housing inspection reports, and another one got a VISA, well his wife did even though he only gave one month bank statements and 2 payslips.

My advice, go yourself to the Union Council and ask him to check it's on the computer, then go again a few days later and check again to make 100% sure.

Due to this, I will probably not be with my wife till the later part of 2012. Almost everyone I've spoken to, legal guys, folk on here who've suffered similar issues and my friends who've appealed have stated that get it registered and then send the certificate new one with a letter from the guilty parties in Pak and they will probably overturn yoru decision before the deadline.

Anyways shit happens, no need to sit around depressed. I hope others learn from my mistake and I will try to advise as many folk as possible in future.

Yes Muz, your wife will need to have a valid TB Certificate as it will be asked for at the Airport. So she needs to re-do the TB test.

Good Luck

Hey everyone,

Visa got granted Alhamdulillah on the 21st March and it took them over a month to get it back to us.

Initially I was a little disappointed as sort of loses me a month which would have been good as hubby is studying until end of August now

To all those who have been granted Alhamdulillah and to those who haven't had it granted Alhmadulillah..

Everything for the best...

Have you emailed them in the first instance? I emailed them on Tuesday, received an auto-reply that my query will be dealt with within 5 working days.

Any one here previously emailed and received a informative response?

I would also like to hear from anyone who has phoned the BHC to see if it is worth doing the same and also who to call?

This waiting is difficult ....

Ticket prices

Post by Thrillseeker » Thu Apr 26, 2012 12:02 pm

I paid £260 for my wifes ticket, although it was only one way from Karachi to London.

Contact is Raphael from Times Travel on 07837 398241

You'll get special treatment if you mention Rafiq gave you the number.

That's about right.

It generally is that expensive, if you do a bit more searching, you might be able to bring it down to £800, but I think that'll be tough.
