Well my wife did the A1 test, which wasn't objected to in our application, so I am guessing it's accepted. She called NTS I think, the guys who do the A1 tests in Pakistan, they sorted out a test for her within a fortnight, she went to UCP, University Central Punjab in Lahore (Opposite Imran Khan's Hospital) and got the results 2 weeks later and the certificate a day later. Cost 11,000 rupees at the time. You'll need to have ID card I think and a photocopy of it and some passport size photos which you submit with the application for the test.

Here is the link I think.

Yes they rejected it and then we had to lodge an appeal and they overturned their decision. But she had to get a sim card which was registered in her name in Pakistan.

That is really quick for the results, we have been waiting forever for ours and it cost 17,000rps. There are 4 modules: speaking, writing, listening, reading and the speaking test is recorded on tape. which is sent to London and given a pass or fail by someone.

faster processing times

Post by sefreak » Sat Apr 28, 2012 6:38 am

Is it just me or are they processing visas faster? It seems as if they are trying to meet the 60 working day figure (60-70 days). It also seems that they are processing it in pak, some status are not saying 'sent to embassy'. This sounds promising.

NTS is the best test to go for. IELTS is geared for teaching students for learning but NTS A1 is to learn basic english.

I have test papers for TOEIC with audio, anybody wants a copy, let me know.

This whole eng test thing caused an unecc delay of 2 months in us submitting

We were not too sure of which test to do and where! Even the 'agent' had no clue

It was good ol' gerrys that told me that it was A1 and not ielts

No Zahra they check the visa applicants number in pakistan. Not in the uk.
They check to see who's name it is registered in.

Stop worrying you will be fine.

Processing Stages?

Post by MrE2012 » Sat Apr 28, 2012 2:46 pm

Hi All

My Wife made her Application In March this year

i just wanted to know how it works, alot of people mention the process that it goes through we are at the - PROCESSING AT BHC

i was wondering what is the situation, alot of people mention that it goes onto the EMBASSY FOR PROCESSING NEXT, isnt the BCH THE PAKISTANI EMBASSY.. i thought it was the last process stage at the BHC?

Can someone explain, and why does it take soo long to come back from the Embassy?

Can someone let me know soon thanks

Processing Stages

Post by MrE2012 » Sat Apr 28, 2012 2:50 pm

Also i believe to Add to my last question.. it doesnt matter how clear your application is, they seem to send them in batches.

so you could have a clear decision and approval or rejection yet they wait to send with others, so the whole concept of easier decisions are processed quicker dont make sense..

Also they is a youtube video of the British high commissioner mentioning a couple of months ago that Settlement Visas are meant to be processed within 60 days at the moment they are going through at around 41 days turnaround is that correct?

Anybody???

41 days? If only if that was the case, I think India have the sort of processing time and not Pakistan.

If you look a few pages back there is a post by a member who has written down everyones name, when and where they submitted the visa and how many working days we waited/waiting.

The status changed ready to collect over 60days.

hi.
i 've seen that interview too. he mentioned that our target is 95% of application 'll b processed within 60 working days (12 weeks) but we are processing within 41 working days. that is not obvious to be honest or another thing comes in my mind is that they process it within 41 working days but gerry's r not as quick as they are supposed to. that might be the reason that most of the people don't receive their passports even within 60 working days. One more thing we need to take into account is that people who applied in december & january are unlucky as that was not the best time to apply as most of the ECO's are on holidays bcoz it's new year & christmas time & normally they take 2 or 3 weeks holidays for news year time. 65% of uk population save their holidays for new year. so that is obvious that less people at work less work done. that is truly my personal opinion. thumbs up if u agree. lolzz. hope for the best & MAY ALLAH BLESS ALL. thx

Processing Stages

Post by MrE2012 » Sat Apr 28, 2012 3:33 pm

Hi Thanks all

for the reply its depressing to not know what exactly is going on, because he is the British high commissioner of Pakistan i would thought he was mapping out the future response times.

Also does anybody know when you are going to be interviewed, during the Processing at BHC stage or later should i or my Wife be waiting for a call or a call in for a Interview?

and what is the difference between the BHC AND THE EMBASSY STAGE?

let me know soon friends
